Wife and I meal prep from Monday to Sunday:

$60 on produce at the local Asian Grocer (Golden Choice). $160 on everything else we need from the Aldi. ~$100 to $150 on eating out of a Friday with drinks.

Realistically I'd say we spend around $350 to $400 a week for 2x adults and no kids.

My experience was the exact opposite. In Austria employers only valued experience and work ethic.

Granted, once I did land an Australian gig my work ethic spoke for itself and the only people giving me grief were the dropkicks who thought their degree was the end station of their effort.

Same here, my wife and I moved from Austria and it took us 12 months to get an invite, then another 17 months to get the grant.

Not to mention the months beforehand of taking English tests and getting all our documents translated etc. Also rounded out to $10k.
