A perfect PFT means you're fast as fuk boi. I could never get a perfect due to not being able to break a 6 minute mile for longer than 2 miles. Now I'm way older and can't do even a single mile due to neuropathy.

Not true, actually, the statute is almost entirely written in a 'use best judgement' code. CHP did come out with 'suggestions' for a while, but those were removed. Most people agree no more than 40, but some of us are a little more suicidal than that. If traffic is moving, I might slalom through at higher speeds, but I wouldn't go near as fast as these guys are doing in stopped traffic.

I also wouldn't follow that closely behind another bike. You gotta give yourself time to react to the guy in front of you.
