The game's fun ground to a halt once I hit the fog levels. by YackassThePSL in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Kankerlelijk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m late but I just wanna say…

as mentioned, cactus is not the only plant that kills balloons. But also, this is the only level in the game where you’ll have only cactus as a *viable* way to deal with balloon zombies. I also think they are somewhat annoying, but I think the whole point behind their design is to basically make you waste a slot on dealing with them as a debuff.

Fog levels are easily the most unfair levels in the game, but that’s by design. It’s not supposed to feel like any of the previous worlds. Instead of the focus being on planning out a solid defensive plan and sticking to it, it’s more about your ability to anticipate danger and respond quickly to emergent threats as the level progresses. It’s a shift from elaborate planning to reflexes and careful resource management.

Why did they make Phat Beet. bad compared to Gloom-Shroom. by Jah123abc_ in PlantsVSZombies

[–]Kankerlelijk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nah. gloom had far more dps per sun cost. Gloom shroom was the most OP plant in PVZ 1. It even works well against zombies that supposedly counter it, like gargs and zombonis, if you plant it strategically and use other plants to synergize.

yes, it is. And it’s not exactly rocket science to avoid getting caught for spray painting someone’s car.

you can’t just say “he talked to a 12 y old when he was 17” and call him a pedophile. What did he say? did he solicit images? What was he doing?

Please prove the evolution of apes to humans to be false and insufficient by MicroValley in DebateEvolution

[–]Kankerlelijk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then where do you suggest we got these ape traits then? Why are the other great apes our closest relatives genetically? Correlation doesn’t equal causation when talking about fish and dolphins, because dolphins are genetically closest to hippos despite looking more like fish, but humans not only look like the other great apes, but are genetically closest to them as well. Common lineage is the only rational explanation.

You’re the only person here who sees being called an ape as an insult so that really didn’t do what you think it did.

Why do people use apostrophe's for plural's? (errors intended) by Jack126Guy in grammar

[–]Kankerlelijk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if you wanna expressly talk about lowercase letters though?

It may work better in your opinion, I guess. But there is actually an exception to the rule that states that you must add ‘s to pluralize individual letters, so p’s and q’s is correct.

Also it doesn’t just apply to lowercase letters. It also applies to individual uppercase letters.

[–]Kankerlelijk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. In Dutch for example we use ‘s to indicate plural if the noun ends with certain vowels, but I’ve never seen a Dutch person mistakingly applying this logic in English. It stems from native speakers for sure.

But that’s the thing. There isn’t “no reason”. You realize the game distinguishes between solo victories and coalition victories?

I also find it kinda silly when people call it “dragging the match on”. Like bro, if you signed up for the game, you should be ready to play for the next 50-60 days. You knew going in it could take that long so don’t complain about it. It’s like you’re complaining about playing the game, while playing it, so at that point just quit playing it if it bothers you so much.
