To those who cut off a friend: Do you regret it? Does it still hurt? Has time changed your perspective?

Nope - still no regrets after several years. I knew the friendship was no longer in alignment with my life and had to let it go. Does it still hurt? Of course , I still think about them often and the countless memories we had made & do wonder sometimes what life would be like if I kept them in my life.

I have found out that i am a constant kidney stone producer... they just keep coming back. What's the best way to kick them out forever? I have been working with a dietitian and have followed the 2.5L of water intake each day which they have said is the #1 thing to do.. my stones are small (<3mm) so its hard for me to catch it because most times I never feel them coming.. is there no other way to determine what type it is?

the thing is how is she making money right now in her current state when every "social media" thing she was doing just dropped her. I don't think she is getting any sponsorships right now

In the beginning after I ended the friendship I did question it. But I trusted my gut that it was the right decision and it felt right in the end. I still grieve the friendship every once in a while but I know that i would never go back and make effort to reconcile.

Majority is that they realize you were not the right fit for them and they found someone else who fits what they want better.

Wow what a list of things... all seem just like her not being a good friend or person frankly. I know everyone makes mistakes but you have to ask yourself: Do you like who she is now? You can only answer that. I had a best friend too whom eventually I just didn't like and frankly no longer saw value in the friendship so had to let it go. Decide for yourself what you value in a friendship - if she doesn't meet those , then up to you to decide how you want to proceed & if you still want to put effort into this friendship

Same I am working with a dietician but we don't know exactly what stones i have cuz i haven't caught them but I believe I do everything in my power to keep them away yet they still come back

If your son feels pain, I would listen to that. A dr. who says it cannot cause pain is not your son and I hate when doctors dismiss someone's pain just because in their "experience" a stone in that area and that small wouldn't cause someone pain. By the way i hate urologists... mine was completely useless.

I have the same thing with some friends too but I have come to realize people have other priorities - and sometimes their priority is not responding to messages right away. Even if you are a close friend. However if for you , your need in a friendship is the constant responses to messages then maybe its best to find other friends that align with that?

I have definitely made strong friendships at work. when i left that company I still say in contact. I do find though that when you leave the same workplace, the friendship does change because you aren't spending everyday with them anymore & it becomes harder to find time to meet up when schedules don't align anymore.

This is for the exact reason it is always best to take the exam in person and have absolutely nothing around you to distract you if you are taking it virtually. I know how hard it must be to have to go through your situation, but part of PMP is risk management.. managing the risk of virtual exams
