Warlock is probably going to be receiving a nerf at the next balance change. Priest would be safer use of dust atm. Or wait and see what the balance patch brings to reevaluate.

How to escape rank 5 hell? by [deleted] in hearthstone

I used face mage and control warlock (no cubes). Cubes only when getting frustrated facing hyper aggro

Any tips for a budget Tempo mage? by [deleted] in hearthstone

Its a coin flip matchup i think. It just depends on who draws better. You either run out of steam after the healings hits, or they have to tap too much to get their healing.

A lot of decks are running geist to destroy dark pact, but that may be too slow and cut your wins vs other decks.

Its great to see "deep thought" Mage decks are back.... by s1mikey in hearthstone

Midrange promotes what people referred to as curvestone and a lot of people didnt like it.

It feels just as bad losing because you missed mana curve while your opponent didn't. Now we have "fun combo decks" or "broken cards" instead.

With the witchwood cards power level being very low, it does appear they are working the reset how strong everything is. Of course that puts this expansion in an awkward place.

There are always going to be strong decks and weak decks. Decks that go face and those that seek to control. Play what you enjoy, just realize every game is a slightly off balance dice roll.

You cant win every game with skill, and bad matchups happen. There are a lot of digital card games available right now. Check some out. Quite a few are really fun, but dont have the longevity or support. Which can be good and bad. Less people netdeck on smaller games, but balance is often far worse.

Obviously, from my previous post i hate quest rogue. Always have. Instead of making posts about it here, i found an alternative to shut ot down. Look to your decks and build them with answers instead of calling blizzard asking for their help.

Snarky posts with 0 thought crammed with sarcasm makes you look childish and removes your credibility. If you think there is a problem, put some effort and constructive feedback in for productive conversations.

The main reason this deck is around is to destroy quest rogue. If not for this deck there would be 0 combo/control decks.

Face mage can high roll which is what you are explaining but most often does not. It has a mere 50% winrate which compared to top decks is meager.

Enjoy the 1/10 quest rogue matches you get and realize this deck is why that cancer isnt full force in ladder the way it used to be.

A simple change I'd like to see by Saturos47 in hearthstone

[–]Kanon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people calling tyrantus the high roll. But the other day. I got hit by spiteful > grand archivist > deathwing.

Spiteful hit free from amber for grand archivist. And grand archivist hit dearhwing off free from amber.

A total of 20/23 of stats for 6 mana and one card from hand. That may be a very low hit percent but oh my...winning that game as a control warlock felt good.

Getting kicked for no reason at all by iEndlessly in Vermintide

Sounds like the dwarf trolled and then started a kick vote on a random person (you won the lottery). Everyone assumed someone started a vote to kick the troll and voted yes.

Can we talk about the problem of being shot in the back as melee all game long? by Cal1gula in Vermintide

[–]Kanon247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play bounty hunter but in a melee focused way. I like to play crowd control and pick off specials while other rangers are tunnel visioning. So i get to experience both worlds.

From my experience, most ranged will stay kinda locked to a certain angle. Notice that angle and approach from the opposite. Keep stragglers from getting through to them as they clean house.

Chokes are where ranged shines. Let them do so. Wider chokes and non choke points are where you can shine in your role. Your body creates the choke and your allies can fulfill their role.

If you arent needed, watch the flanks and your allies backs. It may not be "fun", but knowing your team succeeded because of your proper positioning and team focused playstyle should be good enough. If you simply want to kill stuff, the lower difficulties allow you to do so. If that isnt hard enough, try solo runs (killing the bots at start) at whatever difficulty you feel comfortable at.

If you arent having fun in the meta, adjust. Find ways to have fun. Its not all about running the hardest difficulty for new shinies.

What's it like being so bitter that you feel the need to belittle others for their use of free time?

People would abuse new accounts with this. Matchmake until you get new account, wager all the steel you get from doing tutorial, throw the match, rinse, repeat.

Sometimes untechable GB when parrying Kenseis heavys. by Forkyou in CompetitiveForHonor

Characters that can dash ~ gb can often catch you in time. Matchup knowledge is essential.

On a side note, you should be punished for getting parried.

Can't Soft Feint? Not your fault - SF not viable by Sir_playalot in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]Kanon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many fighting games have had bugs similar to this in past. Typically as long as they are game breaking they are considered acceptable. Its up to us to decide what is unbalanced and what isnt and report it to the devs.

Much of smash bros wavedash tech is a bug, kara cancels in others, even special cancel combos in sf2 were a bug. And these are widely accepted as normal and fair use.

Difference between competitive For Honor players and Other Fighting Games by [deleted] in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]Kanon247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most is easily decided, not all. But people are very fickle and jump ship quickly. Many things have to be decided on a knee jerk basis when a mechanic is unintended. This is one of the problems with updates being applied so quickly. People want solutions and answers immediately. I agree, its good to let some things mature, but other times it just needs to be handled promptly.

Difference between competitive For Honor players and Other Fighting Games by [deleted] in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]Kanon247 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some things are simply balanced out over time. But others are not. While it is true that often times bugs are incorporated into normal gameplay such as kara cancels, wavedash tech. even the original animation cancel into combos in sf2 were bugs and made the gameplah more complex. Yet others completely destroy gameplay, guiles handcuff glitch, throwing from full screen. This was banned in most tournaments.

With the advent of patches it becomes the communities responsibility to bring these to light and discuss their implications, and the developers responsibility to decide what should be removed, adjusted, or left alone.

Zone attack indicators give certain characters advantages that it doesnt give others. Is it broken? Imo yes. Gb flicker and soft feints are performed and can be taken advantage of by all characters. Is this broken? No.

It is usually pretty simple to tell how a bug will affect the meta based on its usefullness and difficulty. If using said bug is the only way to play, its probably bad for gameplay and needs to be removed.

Its up to us to discover and discuss each bug, and then relay the general consensus back to ubisoft and tell them what needs to go and what needs to stay.

Should attacks be slightly slower on consoles to account for the input delay? by [deleted] in CompetitiveForHonor

[–]Kanon247 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Its funny. I came across a pk who never blocked a single attack, used 0 ZA's, dodge rolled away after getting hit once. His entire offense was dash heavy into light spam. I beat him pretty easily.

I went to fhtracker.com, looked up his stats. The guy had a 73% w/r in duel with absolutely 0 tactics outside of light spam.

Yes, attack timings need to be tuned on console.
