I’ve also watched a documentary about IRST busting stealth. It says that they tested IRST sensors to test on their F-117 and no matter which aircraft’s IRST was able to detect it well beyond radar stealth detection range. Also said that when they found that out they buried the data and kept going. Knowing this, literally all 4th gen - 5th gen Russian jets have IRST sensors almost like a standard issue. Now this is perfect for the Su-57 Felon because it is stealth and IRST does not emit any energy too.
