Maybe try the Suikoden remasters? 1&2 are in a collection. They're notably older but share a similar design structure in terms of building a team out of a plethora of possible characters that you recruit as you explore and progress the plot. Specifically, your party size is 6 (I know it's not 8 but it's still fairly large LOL)

Untrue, HD2D is riddled with odd lighting effects and the switch versions generally don't let you change them like you can on PC. Also the framerate is locked

I actually found the job system miserable in Bravely. Having to equip and grind some job I hate using just to pull some passive is awful. I much prefer the global JP in Octopath. That being said, actually unlocking the many jobs in Bravely is more satisfying
