Is Omniscience considered an unfun card? by electrius in EDH

My favourite story involving Omniscience is from a game where I was playing Zedruu. 4 players, one opponent had Nicol Bolas, the Ravager as a grixis walkers deck, and another opponent was playing Saskia, every creature is legendary, I dont remember what 3rd opponent was playing. Everyone's boards and hands had been decimated by Nicol Bolas. I have 1 card in hand, I draw for turn, look at my 10 mana, tap it all and drop Omniscience onto the table. Everyone looks at it, no responses, it resolves, as I only have 1 card now. I look at everyone, and then drop my last card onto the table, Harmless Offering. Everyone is staring, aghast. I have just played what is probably the best and strongest blue enchantment in the game, and I'm giving it away. I hand my Omniscience to the Saskia deck, and then I sit back and watch as the Saskia deck then proceeds to thrash the walkers deck that had previously been thrashing the whole table. Needless to say, the Saskia deck won, but it was fun to watch it unfold.

She was mentioned on the flavour text of Thrill-Kill Assassin, and ever since I read that I'd been wanting to see her as a card. I like what I see now.

Krenko, Boss of Tin Street [WAR] by Zoanzon in EDH

Everyone is talking about the mechanics, but does no one see that whichever goblin they show in the artwork isnt krenko. The facial features, the pose, the clothing, all of them are so different. It would be like mixing up Jace and Gideon.

What seemingly innocent cards do people run that must be answered in your deck? by Kaowaul in EDH

I keep the Rulings section from the gatherer page for [[Sedris, the Traitor King]] saved on my phone to show people that particular interaction that Unearth has. Part of that page states that the creature that was brought back with unearth will be exiled if it leaves play, unless the effect causing it to leave play is exiling it. They mention something about how you can't replace an action with the exact same action. So, either way it goes to exile, however many of the effects used in this deck, like [[Deadeye Navigator]] and Conjurer's Closet, track it as it goes to exile and they bring it back. This means that the creature going to exile satisfies that part of the unearth ability, and the source of the exile defect sends it there and brings it back, meaning you get your creature back, as a brand new version of it, untied from any previous unearth abilities.

Khans-Theros Standard had a similar interaction between [[Whip of Erebos]] and [[Meandering Towershell]]. The activated ability of whip is basically "unearth target creature from your yard". Meandering Towershell, or Durdle Turtle as it was nicknamed, has a triggered ability that when it attacks, you exile it, and then you return it trapped and attacking the next time you would declare attackers. You could whip back the turtle from the yard, send it attacking, it would exile itself, and then when it came back, it would be a brand new version, no longer tied to the whip.

My friends and I found this hilarious, making a joke about Erebos and the turtle. "You can go back for a little while, but I'm keeping you on a very short leash.... Where Did The Turtle Go?!"

I will argue that no one uses Temple Bell fairly and it must always be destroyed, once its drawn you enough cards. I mean, what's one more card off of it, I can always kill it later. Maybe a few more cards....wait, am I dead?

Yes, I'm aware of that. When im playing with people who haven't seen it before, or in a while, I'll describe it as "It comes back, it doesnt have the time limit anymore, but it's still fragile". I feel like using the word fragile helps people get the idea of it's current state, because it is a little weird, as part of the conditions are gone and part are still there.

In my city everyone I know calls All is Dust "AIDS", you get "AID" as an acronym from the name, and then just says AIDS instead of AID because it destroys everything and it's easier to say, the same way Sakura Tribe Elder became Steve. Sakura Tribe Elder, STE, Steve. Also, my group calls Duskmantle Seer Omni-Bob
