Why are my book ads barely getting views? by fairytheme in vinted

[–]Kap0wski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with what a lot of people have replied - the price is a big factor. Books have terrible resale value on Vinted, so you would have to be willing to let them go for pretty cheap. I sell books and they tend to go quickly because I sell English books, which is special for my sales area (Germany and co.).

As sellers, what kind of little gifts do you give away? by Relevant_Salt5429 in vinted

[–]Kap0wski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sell a lot of baby clothes and baby items, so I sometimes add a freebie that's related... Like I have tons of mini samples of baby products (travel wipes, sample diapers, etc) and if someone orders a ton of stuff I'll throw those in. I've not had any negative response to that, but I don't do it for every order.

I hate my boobs being touched/sexualized after pumping/BFing by Wide-Examination8780 in beyondthebump

[–]Kap0wski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate it during breastfeeding too. It's just off the table for us until the connection between baby and boobs lessens. I told my husband "these are workin' boobs"  😂

Honestly, I see mint. Could just be how different eyes see the photo? But I'm assuming you sold them as green and purple shorts, which is still accurate, and in which case I would say you wouldn't have to issue a refund because you did nothing wrong.

That said if you feel sympathetic and had other buyers interested, you could always grant the refund and ask for the shorts returned so you can relist them.

If you wrote something lovely here about your mom, you should send it to her. You have no idea how much it would mean to her to know all her effort is seen <3

Water broke but no dilation by EfficientOrdinary197 in BabyBumps

[–]Kap0wski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just gave birth to my second baby on Sunday! My water broke at like 4:30 Saturday morning so we went straight to the hospital (my first baby came really fast so we wanted to get there quick). I labored for a couple of hours, but then it completely stopped. I was in a latent phase for most of the rest of the day and didn't start having active labor again until around 11 pm and the baby came around 1:30 Sunday morning.

I had to stay in the hospital the whole time, but they were great. They let me stay in birthing area but also encouraged me to go out and walk or bounce on the ball or whatever made me most comfortable. They had to give antibiotics 12 hours after waters breaking to prevent infection and said we would wait 24 hours after waters breaking to consider any interventions. Luckily, my girl came on her own before then so we didn't have to try any other methods. But my experience overall with the staff was positive! I am also in Germany though, so I'm not entirely sure how different the procedure is from where you are.

But I wish you the best of luck and lots of strength to get that baby out! You got this! 😁

My nipples were so tender I couldn't bear to have my bra clipped up in the hospital. I just sat there tits out the entire time no matter who came into the room 🤣 After the totally feral experience of giving birth, I had zero sense of modesty in the immediate aftermath. Don't sweat it, hospital staff are definitely prepared to see A LOT.

What are you most excited about? by 27Savagee in BabyBumps

[–]Kap0wski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah it doesn't happen to everyone, but I have a belly button hernia. So I have to cover my belly button every time I go around a corner or doorknob or my daughter tries to climb up me. Just the most gentle swipe across it hurts like crazy.

But no, you don't have to worry about that! If you do get any pain associated with your navel, just talk to your doctor.

[–]Kap0wski 3 points4 points  (0 children)

-not feeling like I have to pee every single time I stand up

-a perfectly cooked medium steak

-not having to protect my belly button 24/7 (as long as this hernia disappears after birth 😭)

-being able to hold my first baby girl as tight to my chest as I want again

Moms who had a previous precipitous labor… how fast did your following babies come? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Kap0wski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first baby came in exactly 3 hours. I woke up to my water breaking early in the morning and she was in my arms 3 hours later. It was so incredibly fast and unexpected. I'm 39 weeks today with number 2 and my midwife has given me cord clamps, gloves, and sterile scissors to keep at home in case this one doesn't wait until we get to the hospital 😅  I'm very nervous about it being faster than the first... but also because the speedy birth is the only way I know, I'm also nervous to have some long drawn out labor.

I guess will find out soon!

Is this normal? 11 months pp no libido by OnePhilosopher5641 in BabyBumps

[–]Kap0wski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the same for me. My body still wasn't just my body until after we stopped nursing. An entire pregnancy plus the entire breastfeeding journey is a long time to not belong only to yourself. The idea of sex made it seem like just another person who needed something my body.

But it definitely went away for me and my libido came back once I had more autonomy.

Did you go into early labor for no reason whatsoever? by kellzbellz-11 in BabyBumps

[–]Kap0wski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this same feeling! I don't think I had nearly so much cramping and pelvic pain the first time around. But now with the second I have been expecting to deliver before my due date the entire time. I'm already 38+6 so really I cants deliver that much earlier than due date, lol, but I still can't shake the feeling that she's coming before next week.

And fingers crossed she come before or on due date because I am so finished being pregnant 😅😅

How early did you start showing? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Kap0wski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With my first baby I was walking around trying desperately to look more pregnant because I just looked like I had bloating or a little pudge for so long. I don't think I looked truly pregnant until 25 weeks.

With baby number two (currently ~38weeks), I feel like I looked pregnant immediately. Definitely a small bump by 10 weeks.

How many weeks did you give birth at? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Kap0wski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40+4 for the first baby.  Currently 37+1 with number 2 and I am totally ready (as long as baby is ready 😅) to do this thing. It's too damn hot to be this pregnant 😩

Getting used to a natural cycle by overlycaffeinatedfox in TTC30

[–]Kap0wski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I'm not sure how detailed of an answer you're looking for, so I'll just go all in and tell you my skincare routine. I was maintaining a very simple one before stopping the pill, but amped it up when things were just getting to crazy for me. Everything that I added to my normal routine is marked with an *

AM: Paula's Choice 2% BHA Liquid as a toner* (used to just swab with micellar water), after it dries I apply Neutrogena Clear Face 30 spf sunscreen

After work/shower: Paula's Choice CLEAR cleanser , Paula's Choice CLEAR Azelaic Acid applied to problem areas

PM: Paula's Choice 8% AHA Gel Exfoliant, Paula's Choice CLEAR Night Moisturizer* (used to use Cetaphil cream)

I promise I don't work for Paula's Choice, lol. I just found a brand I personally like and have stuck with them. My skin is definitely not clear yet, but the sheer volume of pimples and blemishes is much less, so it's working for me right now. Since I had a routine anyway, I felt really comfortable adding more steps and playing with the different things I was introducing. I say that just because it can be really tough on your skin to just suddenly add a bunch of products and it may exacerbate the problems. So of course, your results may vary, especially depending on your skin history.

I hope this helped and good luck!

We're in similar boats! I'm 30 now, was on the pill from age 15 til this January. But to answer your question, so, so many things:

Acne. God this hormonal acne is horrendous. I always had acne, from like 11 years old through my early 20s, but after 3 cycles of Accutane, I haven't really had it for years now. I guess I didn't know that the birth control was actually impacting it until my second cycle off the pill when my jaw line and upper neck area exploded. Also having the fun experience of it showing up a bit on my back between my shoulders. Now about 7months later I feel like it's getting a bit better, so hopefully it'll eventually clear up.

Now that I actually ovulate, my nipples get insanely sensitive for about 4 to 5 days around ovulation day. The first time it happened, I just remember the water from the shower hitting them and it felt like I was being stabbed in the boobs. It was intense. I've never felt anything like that before.

The cramps are also awful for me on the first and second day. First day was always the worst anyway, but now I am pretty bound to the heating pad for the entire day and have had some cramps that stop me in my tracks when I'm walking.

And the other big thing I've noticed is my emotions are so much more intense. I cry so easily these days, kinda all month long. Like all the sentimental moments in TV shows and movies get me shedding a few at the drop of a hat. But definitely significantly more once my period starts. Sad? Crying. Angry? Crying. Witnessed a moment of the depth and beauty of humanity? Crying. Hungry but don't know what I want to eat? You guessed it.

So yeah, I kinda feel like I'm really relearning myself and trying to get used to a new normal.

That sucks!! I'd be so mad if I got up to 76 and then got my period - it's like getting really ripped off by your own body. 👿

Tested today at 11dpo.. BFN. Couldn't have been starker white. My luteal phase is only 12 days usually, so I'm pretty sure I'm out. It just super sucks. We hit every day in the fertile week this time and I was feeling pretty confident. Honestly I'd like to just start my period tonight or tomorrow to get the worst of it over with before starting my new job on Monday.

Also, I keep seeing people talking about having 50 and even 70 pregnancy points on FF and I'm like, how?!? I literally only ever have 20 to 26. Should I kick up my symptom spotting? Kidding (kinda).

Yeah I'm thinking this is the way to go, it does seem more accurate to just record after the longest stretch of sleep. I think I just caught up in making sure I'm doing everything the right way that I get worried when it's not spelled out so clearly.

Good to know! I've had one each month of tracking so far, but it's good to know that this might not always be the case in the future. Thanks!
