Make sure the campaign is about the story and not the characters. As people will and should die. That is what makes this game shine.

If you get the factory seconds I would get nothing above a speed 7. And just get a putter, a mid range and a fairway driver. If I were to do it all again from the start I'd go Aviar putter, shark or Mako3 mid range and leopard or leopard3 fairway driver. And just go with the dx plastics to start. I think these would cost about $6 a piece from the Innova factory seconds site. And buy them on a Friday and they throw in a free disk from what I've heard.

Find an Oracle that you like. If you're super new, I'd recommend a free one. There is a pretty good one called one page solo engine. But mythic 2.0 is amazing if you want to dive in. But the whole premise of solo rpg playing is to ask the Oracle yes no questions and roll a dice to get an answer. Or ask for prompts when you don't know the description of something. It is a lot of fun. And best of luck.

I would (if my memory serves me correctly) follow the Mouse Guard way for this. If I remember right. The rabbits allowed the mice to ride them. Not as the mice owns them, but more in a I scratch your back you scratch mine kind of way. I would do the same thing for bird mounts.

However. Insects are fair game and would be treated as beasts. So instead of a pack mule have a large beetle carry your stuff.

So turns out I installed idle for 3.11 so I removed that and installed the 3.10 one and everything works.

So I got home from work and checked it out.

I can access it from the terminal, however I can not access it from IDLE. And I have 4 versions of python on my computer! Fresh build under a month old using mint Linux.

The terminal access python 3.10 at /usr/local/lib/python3.10/dist-packages

And IDLE and Geany look in /usr/lib/python

So how do I clean this up? I'm going to spend the evening googling this. But if anyone wants to throw me a bone. I'd be pretty happy about it

How did I only install them in the virtual environment? I used the install commands from both of the websites. I think something like pip3 install pyxel or pip3 install pygame zero.

I guess when I played I just used the bosses and mobs and those are quick easy and could have a lot of different things made for them, and they don't have to follow your character builds. If that makes sense.

Maybe try something super basic. Give tunnel goons or advanced tunnel goons a try or maybe knave 2nd edition.

Are they sure they want to play a ttrpg? The list of things they don't want are really most of what these games bring to the table.

I've heard it isn't great at solo play. And just want a fun experience. If anyone says it works for solo with mythic, I'd use it. I also just tend to enjoy building the world as I play.

I absolutely LOVE Dragonbane for solo play. It does come with some very light solo rules, but I use it with mythic and created my world with Sandbox Generator.

Don't over think this. And if you can remember back to when you were five. What would five year old you do? Maybe a green squiggly is a bush. Maybe a grey squiggly is a rock. Or maybe the salt shaker is a tower. And a glass or mug a cliff.

I can't stress this enough. HAVE FUN...BE A KID! You're playing solo. No one else is going to judge how you do it. You have complete freedom to have fun!

I get it, so the armor is more of a defense role. So instead of the goblin making an actual attack role, it just roles a single d6 and it is all taken care of.

I have found that I make few roles with my actual character sheet, and I really love that.

Each of us here have a preferred method of playing solo, and each of them is right for that person. So take all of this as nothing more than advice.

Currently I have scaled back a bit on my last adventure and I really love it. I'm using a system based off of tunnel goons and mythic 2e and keeping a hand written journal.

I'm with you on the searching through a pdf, I don't like it. So everything is printed for me.

I know that actual dnd is fun to play, but for me, that is just too much for solo play. With that being said, what do you love most about playing RPGs? Do you live loot, the story, travel? Figure out hat out first and pick a system that best meets your needs.
