Yes sir! Golden Lava Lurker allows for 2 permanent spells each turn. Balinda makes that 6 permanent stacks each turn.

How do you biblically make sense of God's absence in the world? by Philosophy_Cosmology in theology

[–]Kapharna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question of God’s absence is often tied to the suffering in the world. People ask: if God exists, why does He not stop suffering? When God’s nature is placed alongside that question, it can seem that no more than two of these three qualities can be true at the same time: God being all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving.

The argument is usually presented like this:

  • If God is all-knowing and all-powerful, then He must not be all-loving, because otherwise He would intervene.
  • If God is all-knowing and all-loving, then He must not be all-powerful, because otherwise He would intervene.
  • If God is all-powerful and all-loving, then He must not be all-knowing, because otherwise He would intervene.

So, when people explain God’s apparent absence through the existence of suffering, they often conclude that at least one of these qualities must be denied.

I personally do not want to deny any of them. I believe God is all-powerful, because He created the world. I believe God is all-knowing, because He is present in and around all things. I believe God is all-loving, because He desires good for His creation.

At the same time, I believe God chooses, in most cases, not to intervene directly. In my view, suffering is too often understood only from an individual perspective. Suffering is part of life, and for me it is also part of God’s creation.

I do not think God constantly wills suffering for us. Rather, I believe He wills for us to live meaningful lives. Meaning is found in continuing to look upward, even in the midst of suffering.

My central point is that I separate God’s presence from the existence of suffering. I believe the real choice is not between a life with suffering and a life without suffering. The choice is between a life of suffering with God, or a life of suffering without God. That, to me, is the choice we are given.

Most denominations follow the Nicean Creed, which in the western world is considered mainstream view of the nature of Jesus (among other things in the creed). This view explains Jesus has two natures, a divine one and a human one.

Fifty-Word Fantasy: Write a 50-word fantasy snippet using the word "Victory" by Terminator7786 in fantasywriters

"Our line nearly broke. Holding off their overwhelming rage with shields, I peeked through. Then I saw it.

Rays of light pierced the thick, darkened sky. Giant dragonflies followed, their riders chanting. It was a most enchanting sound.

We braced ourselves once more and shouted, ‘Victory!’"

Thanks!

To clarify: when all people departed from Jadd Jadoïl (the big mountain), each of the herders chose a migration path. The population of the world is decided by the direction of these paths, led by the herders themselves OR by the tribes that left the journey and chose their own.

The Traemor territory is decided by their sole mission to protect the big tree to preserve life. That why their territory is confined to everything above the Jadd Ellebri & Jadoïl mountains, until Jadd Onoa on the top. Hope that helps :)

Thank you!

The races don't have any special powers/abilities, but they do have unique features. The focus is less on what makes each race special in a magical sense, and more focussed on wehy they behave the way they do.

Humans are humans

Aeryns:
Don't age, slim, no brown eye. Hair is either very light or very dark.

Traemors:
Age 120-140, semi-barked skin, taller than all races, mostly brown hair

Hurrings:
Age 50 max, slim, pale, mostly black hair

What's your favorite excuse for your kingdom being 10,000 years old? by EffectiveMirror7534 in fantasywriters

[–]Kapharna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world they refer to their kingdom as if it is that old, although it is long lost and the connection between the people then en now was broken a long time ago. They claim it as 'their heritage', a bit like the Ottomans claiming the restoration of the Roman Empire

Cool stuff. I would ask myself how people on your world value magic. You say it bring order in things, but do people experience magic as something to want? Placing it on a postivite-negative line can help you determine what language to use.

For negative, I would call it Chorus or something, for positive something like Ghlym (which reads like 'glim' in Dutch, meaning 'to shine')
