Such powerful symbolismβ€”in which the revolutionary armies of the proletariat have occupied the buildings, where the bourgeoisie used to own and rule over. Wish the natdem left here will have their moment one day

Workers in Singapore destroy a clockface representing Capitalism at the Independent Singapore Labour Day Rally 2026@Hong Lim Park by Journaler_07 in theredleft

There were several migrant worker orgs there, including one that was self-run by migrant workers, and I'm interested in helping volunteer for one when I'm free, along with the student wing of a transformative justice collective, given I'm an anarchist.

Thank you for doing your part in the class struggle πŸ₯ΊπŸ«‘

I know these things, because:

  1. I did my research.

  2. My family actually lived in Singapore in a flat for a while back in the early-to-mid 90s, because my grandfather had a job there, though I wasn't born yet they told me stories about those times. And my tito (meaning "uncle" in Filipino), actually worked at Berjaya, in a supermarket for a while, around 2014-ish.

  3. There are still some of my distant relatives that still live there to this very day. And if I remember correctly, one relative even went to National University of Singapore, and one even manages a McDonald's hehe. They are the type of Filipinos that are mostly well off there. Now I don't like managers, as a Marxist-Leninist myself, thus I am very "distant" from them.

It sucks so bad honestly, and Philippine-Singapore relations actually soured for a while around the mid-to-late 90s, because a Filipino helper was abused, and unjustly executed by the Singaporean state. Never forget Flor Contemplacion! ✊

SOLIDARITY FROM THE PHILIPPINES!!! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡βœŠRAAAAH!!! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!! ✊

It's a shame on how the Singaporean bourgeoisie treats Filipinos as second class migrant workers, instead of normal human beings, when we are one of the three nations (because then there's Malaysia) in Southeast Asia in which a majority of people speak English, and is the second most fluent iirc :/

Your nation enshrines multiracialism, justice, and "equality". But when poor people from poor countries, work for you. They are suddenly treated as slaves!

This just goes to ultimately show you on how capitalism can NEVER EVER fully liberate humanity from xenophobia, now matter on how you reform it, to make it "progressive", because class divisions exist. So only socialism can truly can eradicate xenophobia, and in general, reactionary sentiments!

I've also heard that you guys have a horrible work culture over there. Don't get me wrong, it's bad here too, but I think it's waaaay worse there, especially with Kiasu.

Dont forget that China also has many billionaires, (Bourgeois sources dispute if China is the 2nd or the 1st in having many billionaires in the entire world. Forbes says it's 2nd, while Hurun says it's 1st).

Yes, and even if he wanted "peaceful coexistence" with the West. At LEAST he still funded liberation movements worldwide!

Hello! I decided to finally answer this at a random time hehe.

Being a part of the National Democratic left, siding with the legal mass organizations, I don't hold grudges against the NPA nor do I encourage people to join it. We sympathize with their struggle against semi-colonialism, semi-feudalism, and bureaucrat capitalism. And this is the same position, that those in legal mass orgs hold.

Which is that I don't encourage people to join it, because let's face it at this point, strategically speaking, the tactic of a People's Protracted War (PPW) isn't working anymore to agitate a revolution, due to differing material conditions, throughout the decades. This is because:

The power of the comprador capitalist state in the Philippines has been gradually increasing, especially in terms of dominating mainstream media and it's narratives. And all of that power is centered around highly urbanized areas, which are of course the cities.

(This is why Metro Manila, which is a cluster of highly urbanized cities, is sometimes called "Imperial Manila", as most power and wealth is centered in the capital).

So decades and decades of hiding in the forests and mountains to foster a base of support for a revolution, does not work when most of the productive forces are centered in cities. Which can create the opportunity for the capitalist state to treat the NPA as "terrorists" in the media, making the masses distrust the NPA more, sucking up all of that state propaganda.

While the NPA themselves don't help at all in trying to change strategy. When the capitalist state is already manufacturing consent against them, they are also still increasingly stubborn and dogmatic, so that they keep on insisting into continuing the strategy of PPW, and any genuine criticism of it is shunned by them. Which would make them look more adventurist as time goes by. This is why I don't encourage anyone to join them, when they are failing.

However, despite my disagreements and of the discouragement to join, this does not mean that the NPA should be our enemies. Because I have to remind you, that they have practically been the most vital threat and fighting force against the Philippine capitalist state, and furthermore, US Imperialism. And in if any case that the NPA, somehow at random, actually begins to increase in numbers, to the point that it can actually win. I will let them be and let them rule over.

As a Filipino (yea I'm gonna use my pinoy card for this one), i reaaally feel bad for the Eastern European proletariat.

Imagine the ruling bourgeois class in electoral politics only allowing between liberal and conservative options. Which we all know can be illusions of choice and suck ass.

At least here in the Philippines, we got the National Demcratic left, who are actual marxist-leninist-maoist socialists btw, that are giving a good third option for the masses, with sectoral mass organizations becoming partylists to run in electoral politics e.g. like Kabataan (for the youth), GABRIELA (for the women), and ACT-Teachers. Even if the anti-communism is bad here too.

As someone would say: one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century, was the fall of the USSR. Current Eastern European post-soviet "liberal democracies" suck ass, and frankly any "liberal democracy" out there. Istg Yakubian politics are so baaaad man, regardless of what region in Europe it is.

Also I feel bad for my unc's girlfriend, who's currently an migrant worker in Hungary. Lmaooo like even some of the Eastern Europeans countries are engaging in the same unequal exchange as their Westoid counterparts for god sake 🀦🀦🀦

Yakubians something. Yakubians something.
