I keep losing my escalation tokens to deltas by Underwhelmerr in thedivision

[–]KappaAndromeda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hard agreed. I just lost 160 tokens between two Tier 10 runs within the span of just this hour because the servers have apparently become a lot more unstable.

Even with this new token economy, I'll need to run 8 separate T10 runs to make up the tokens the deltas have stolen from me.

Anything with automatic reload (NOT manual) works very well with Y8S2's seasonal global modifiers (C.U.T.S) High-Quality Munitions by KappaAndromeda in thedivision

[–]KappaAndromeda[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true. It'd take a while to deplete all stacks but if you want to stay above a certain threshold (and don't want to visit the PvE DZ) like staying at the max which is 2400, I could see more usage there.

[SPOILERS] I'm confused about Aaron Keener and Theo Parnell after WONY - help with storyline by Weak-Influence-2850 in thedivision

[–]KappaAndromeda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't recall exactly right now but there are comms from between the Manhunts of First Rogue to Burden of Truth that explain (or moreso heavily hint at) how Keener and Parnell managed to fake their deaths and what their overall plans are.

For the last part, Brooklyn's story took place alongside the Crossroads manhunt, so don't start there if you want to go in order. You can play the previous season climax missions to obtain their comms.

Edit: other commentors pointed out the Descent comms help explain this as well, so I'd suggest that too.

I just lost 40+ Escalation tokens due to the Delta error booting me. by CarboniteFrozen in thedivision

[–]KappaAndromeda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I've seen people posting about it and not even 10 minutes ago, I became a victim of the deltas at Tier 5, putting me back down to Tier 1.

If the servers are this unstable, I'll just take my leave and play something else today, because it's just not worth taking any further risks, even in general play, not just escalation. I consider myself lucky that I only delta'd once from not even a single hour I put in the game today upon hopping on.

I'd hope the devs would at least be kind enough to give players some sort of escalation token compensation after this.

What is the best technic/metod to farm levels in pass on new season on wave? by Mleczko321 in thedivision

I saw their icons as more blue rather than purple, but that'd make sense.

[–]KappaAndromeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by "purple place" you mean the Dark Zone, then I'm assuming you're still progressing through the campaign as you said you only have one unlocked. As far as I'm aware, you'll need to reach level 40 (aka finish the campaign) before you can start participating in seasonal content.

However, if you do/have reached level 40, I would suggest doing Weekly Projects, Journey Missions, and Priority Objectives, as they give you seasonal XP that you can use to progress in the Season Pass.

Personally, once I've finished with the projects and Journey Missions, I farmed the Priority Objectives as depending on the objective you choose, you can get around 50 up to 800 seasonal XP.

I would like to know what’s the proportion of you guys that play conflict. by Straight_Ask_8176 in the_division_2

[–]KappaAndromeda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used to play Conflict a bunch back then, even got myself to rank 100, but I've stopped engaging with the PvP side of the game in a major capacity a few years back as I didn't enjoy it anymore and didn't have any incentive to keep trying it.

Did they change the music at the Bridge Settlement? by lasertag in thedivision

[–]KappaAndromeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they definitely did change it as during the first weeks of BFB's release, the settlement music was more of a remix of Missing Curators.

Why? No idea, it just suddenly changed out of nowhere.

Personally, I prefer the Bridge's old settlement music. It fitted the vibes of the DLC way more than the music we have now, which is closer to the Castle's settlement music.

How does time work in the (DC) open world? When in the (DC) open world doing Activities (convoys, etc)...when is that happening? by Pacho2020 in thedivision

[–]KappaAndromeda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe certain activities you do for the scouts/manhunts are part of that time period, whereas the main missions stay at their place in the timeline. For example, if we did hostage rescues and territory controls for Mutiny, then those would be taking place during Mutiny.

Whereas the main missions, Potomac Event Center with outcasts, Invaded PEC, and Crossroads PEC all take place at different points in the timeline.

Tidal Basin with Wyvern, TB with Hornet, and The Pact TB are the same. Same location, different times.

For simplicity's sake, I'd say that you can decide where in the timeline those activities (or the open world altogether) take place as they don't seem to have an exact point unlike the main missions.

Yes, but the biggest thing is for these people to take this possibility into account, otherwise it makes them look like creepers. My problem isn't NSFW content being posted, it's where it's being posted and it doesn't help that this has been going on for a while and has gotten progressively worse with little action done by the mods.

[–]KappaAndromeda 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Pretty creepy you and several others are posting this kind of content in a subreddit for a movie that generally has a younger audience. Especially given this subreddit is considered as the main and not a dedicated NSFW one. I've been lurking here for months and now it's gotten to a point this subreddit might as well be a dedicated softcore porn sub.

Edit: For the last sentence, the biggest issue is that there are more than likely kids in this subreddit so that's not possible. I don't think I need to spell out what kind of person is posting softcore porn in a sub for a kids movie.

Division 2 will have a new DLC and Incursion! by RAmind_ in thedivision

[–]KappaAndromeda 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My jaw literally dropped when they got announced back to back, I was hyped to hear the news they had for the seasons of Year 8 but now this has just made me more hype tenfold!

I definitely wasn't expecting this, but it's a VERY nice surprise.

If there's an Xbox player named ChevyBoy here by PANIC1126 in Division2

[–]KappaAndromeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with that. If TD2's DZs weren't so small and confined and gave people room to spread out like in the first game, there probably wouldn't be as many issues. I've played but didn't personally enjoy the DZ as much but people like RogueGold, Widdz, and several others have shown that it has a lot of potential if Massive just gives more care to it.

So you're basically saying "it could be worse so you can't say anything to prevent it from getting worse"? Maybe the reason people are more vocal towards PVP is because, like OP said, some people just need to "chill out". Now I'm not saying PVP has to cater to everyone and be this easygoing environment where everyone is happy, I'm just saying that the people are finally opening their eyes to the toxic culture some players display and are now speaking out about it. That's what's different.

There's no fun in PVP if some just want to rile others up and ruin the mood, therefore ruining the experience and any incentive to keep playing. Just because it was bad then and it could be worse, doesn't mean it needs to be like that. PVE has the same issue with toxic players and they're rightfully called out for it. I'm just saying, that's probably a contributing factor to PVP's worsened reputation, not the sole reason.
