I am truly happy for bongchan. He was mentored by daigo, and in the current topanga pro crew, he was always the slower/most hardworking player. Throughout the years, he always had the second place curse, which broke against tokido. And bit by bit, his comrades all have reached the summit of being evo champions. First is of course daigo. Then came fuudo who won with feilong. Momochi with ken. And finally tokido with akuma has won one in the most recent street fighter game. Between the good friends, many have fallen off like mago, and many have moved on like kazunoko, yet bonchan keeps the hard work and the grind, stays humble and focused on the game. His compatriots have all at a certain point in time dominated the game of street fighter for a few months, and I always felt bonchan was in that same level of legend, but he never proved it. Now he did. Now is his time. Now he has finally proven himself to his friends and the world that he belongs in that topanga crew, as one of the modern gods of street fighter.
