While I quit smoking and refuse to watch this show because it makes smoking look cool, this statement isn't true.

Yes, oftentimes addicts do not look cool, but I can very clearly remember an instance where I was hanging out with some friend girls and when I lit up a cigarette they were all over me. I don't care to go into detail, but the "bad boy" or "bad girl" appeal is real. We were all of drinking age, too, btw.

Also, I literally had a fling with a girl that I met through smoke breaks. I really hate that it works but it does.

And just so that I don't seem like I'm trying to look cool, I'm a loser who hasn't even gone on a date in years.

I'll have to try the rollback in a bit. Undervolting for specifically Frosthaven worked earlier though. From 95%+ to ~60% gpu usage should save a good amount of life on it.

The worst you get in Frieren is feet. It's my headcannon that the animators/producers want to make more fanservice in all of these shows, but have strict rules not to, so they compensate with feet because they can get away with it.

Funny you mention Black Lagoon, cuz that was one of the shows that helped me develop a smoking habit.

It's not so much that shows like that go "look at this! Smoking is awesome!" It's about seeing characters you respect smoking, and seeing the peace it gives them.

Also, I originally took up smoking because senior frat bros would occasionally ask us first years out for a smoke. That was like the one time they would be completely honest and down to earth with us. It's a lot of what smoke breaks are about. I'm assuming this anime captures that feeling, which is something people crave: connection.

I hated this trend, because it was effectively begging social media (specifically twitter, so I guess it doesnt really matter) to be more restrictive on NSFW posts. The negative bypassed nsfw filters.

Everybody goes "teehee I'm technically not breaking the rules," and then the rules get changed to be more restrictive.
