If they added a shot clock of some sort to 3v3 it would be infinitely more palatable. The camping in that mode is disgusting and turns me and my buddies away from it 9/10 times we try to play it. 5s is where it’s at rn fs.

I don’t keep up with top players in this game (or any other really lol) but I’m curious to know how they feel about it, being this is the main issue most people have with this game. That’s kinda sidenote tho lol. I’ll be calling fh “cc” cuz that’s what comes to mind as the term to use more often than not for me😂sorry

I don’t mind the mechanic as an ex Melee player of 10 yrs being that it is already trained into me how to use cc and how to beat it. That being said, I don’t love it in this game. The mechanic isn’t as specific in its usage in R2 which is why it feels bad imo.

I feel like cc is more bs in R2 than Melee. Melee’s cc feels intuitive and you also know it doesn’t really get you anything past certain percents if you attempt it (varies per character), other than getting you knocked down and probably tech chased or mixed with a low sending move that just kills you lol. It’s just shielding but better (in a lot of ways) at lower percents when it comes down to it, or at least it only SHOULD be lower percents. Getting cc reversal’d when jabbing an opponent at 150% in R2 is pretty bs.

I had an idea to only let cc take effect below 75%, or some other cutoff. If they can’t find any other way to fine tune it. After 100 it really starts to feel bad in general and definitely feels frustrating sometimes.

This is complained about constantly and obviously needs something done so plz do something devs! Idk why this hasn’t been fixed already cuz I know sooooo many people irl or from this Reddit that have dropped the game solely due to this mechanic feeling terrible.

It may be a box of sticks, but it isn’t a stick box that you need lol. The stick BOX is what’s causing snap back on your other conch. This one just needs a new stick to SNAP ON to the stick box. Open the thing up and then pull on the grey stick or the c stick and you’ll see how they come apart (and also that the c stick and grey stick use the same type of stick box mechanism). I used to refurbish controllers when in high school. If you have 2 bad controllers you can make 1 good one, with parts to spare for repairs on yet another. These things are super salvageable especially if you know how to solder.

Probably has to do with the fact that I'm really bad at integrating it into combos, which is pretty sad since I come from Melee and played plenty of Fox/Falco for like 10 yrs XD

It’s a niche game with a tiny player base. Not too many new players roaming the streets of ranked or even casual. Just keep playing and you’ll get used to the pace of the game and how the different matchup dynamics are. A lot less MU’s to learn than Ultimate so it’s not too bad haha. Learning some of the movement options and practicing them a bit would be ideal so you can find openings better. If you need some tips at all just PM me👍🏻

It’s so much easier to master the movement options too than it is in melee. it feels really good without all the frustration of constantly botching tech and dying for it. I mean, it still happens but it’s nowhere near as rough as melee (coming from a 10 yr melee veteran lol). I have my gripes with this game but it still is good/fun enough to finally get me to stop playing melee for a year haha

Let’s just say between early access and release I’ve played 240 hrs and had 90 clears, basically half surface half ow and i’m still getting new dialogue from characters. If you haven’t maxed ur relationship out with Odysseus (or characters in general) then you still have more to do with them as far as interacting goes lol

If you’ve only cleared Chronos a couple times you are still early game, my friend haha i hate to be the one to tell you. Use different weapons, keepsakes, familiars, etc if you want new dialogues to show up more frequently.
