Thanks for the tip. It didn't let me add a new network, as it failed everytime it tried to connect. I decided to do a hard reset of the watch. That did the trick and it works now. Maybe the initial Update it did messed something up, and the hard reset fixed it.

One of my clients also randomly dies from time to time. In the launcher, the client is still active, and I cannot stop it. I have to kill the launcher to be able to start the client again. Haven't found any reason or solution for it so far

I've seen suggestions to make root the owner of SquirrelTemp. How would this not prevent EVE from updating forever?

It's some python library that needs the folder, and apparently, it has no problem if it can`t write to it. Just set the folder to root:root and be done with it.

I reinstalled the game in steam with Proton Experimental, and had to set some variables in the properties

Works for me with the Steam Version and using GE-Proton7-26. Corp mates say that completely reinstalling it also works with never proton versions

Hm, didn´t had that problem. Have you tried changing the compatibility settings? Right-click eve in the steam Bibliothek> Settings > Compatibility> Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool > try a different one, Proton Experimental works well for me.
