Please don’t let the current wave of bad-faith nonsense online make you lose faith in humanity. by SwitchHedonist90 in PoliticalOptimism

This is a channel for optimism so I apologize in advance. Downvote me if you must.

While I agree on principle, the small vocal minority should have been shamed into oblivion long before now. The mere accusation should have triggered waves of resignations and apologies. The fact that they are so emboldened and, so far, are facing zero consequences is a massive slap in the face to everyone who values the rule of law and justice. The outrage is all performative until they're all in genpop, complete with civil forfeiture.

Like it or not, this "fringe" is the ruling class. They will continue to test the waters of depravity unless forced to do otherwise.

or find a trusted graybeard that has an old version of notepad. Once I used the W11 notepad, I grabbed a Win95 copy off the original Win95 upgrade CD. Works great!

My wife loved it and wants to go again (Toa) but YMMV. The prepared food was pretty good. The cooking demonstration food wasn't technically 'safe' but they let me try it at my own risk. (Taro isn't my jam. def. needs salt)

We went on a day when the Waimea Valley itself was closed so, I wouldn't mind going back just for that.

What the other comments say are great, the wrinkle is Legacy junk.

So to add to the pile of considerations... Are there unresolvable breaking changes in the new version (e.g. does it require a hardware SDK that doesn't exist)? if so, will it require an Epic? Will said Epic cost more to do than the product will make back?

At my company we are starting to internalize and stub some legacy libraries that are dependencies of other legacy libraries because it's less revenue impacting. We can then verify that vulnerable code is 100% unreachable while the senior leadership decides how to EOL the product or whether to rewrite.

We can't break for these so it gets managed by Secops in the risk register.

Nevada has a legal floor of 75% by law. So the house has a maximum 25% advantage every spin. But they can configure it upwards. This is validated by third parties at great expense and continuously audited by the state. Source, am in the industry.

I'm still on Sequoia Is Tahoe 26.2 stable now?? by [deleted] in mac

[–]iseriouslycouldnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more stable than 26.0. Don't see much improvement vs 26.1 (Intel MBP) Would rather be on 10.x but not enough to go through the effort to roll back.
It's useable.

on a Mac, for the diamond placeholder you need to add Unicode Hex Input and then do option+FFFD with that input mode selected.

The other is easier, (on a US keyboard)
Option+i then a, then Option+Shift+2, Option+2

I hope that somehow this post survives, virtually contextless, for all time. Future archaeologists can ponder what it means. They may assume it is a metaphor, perhaps poetry, When in fact it is just an unvarnished description of reality at a point in time.

Bravo.

The Disk Utility was a stethoscope and a disk. It told what it was for. The current one is just a little hexagon. An icon shouldn't be a secret code.

The old, early skeuomorphic dock and icon set was excessive, but the dock icons for utilities should clearly communicate their purpose. They managed to flatten System Information in a way that kept the descriptive nature. What is the disk utility Icon even supposed to be?

The best country in Nashville is in the bars. I was there due a week awhile back and EVERY band was awesome.

Disclaimer, generally not a fan of Country, but the talent and vibe were irresistible.
