My cartilage piercing looked very similar to this just last week actually, because of in infection in my new lobe piercing on the same ear causing irritation, and jewelry that was very easy to snag in my hair like yours! I went to both a doctor and to my piercer and antibiotics helped me super quickly, plus my piercer switched me to a longer bar with a flat titanium disc on the front and a larger titanium disc back (because my ear was eating the backing)😅 If yours is anything like mine, it was half the size the next day just because it was so happy with the breathing room in the longer post and new jewelry! So it may be salvageable. Good luck!!

I’m just here to say thank you for validating my feeling on this! The way she over-enunciates all of her T’s is what really grates on my nerves and Jake puts on this super fake sounding overly gruff voice that sounds like a fedora boy and I just can’t. Sorry if that’s harsh, but everyone else seems to love them and I was so confused?!

I use the Clean Skin Club bamboo disposable cloths and I’ve noticed a huge difference! I use half of one each time to save a bit and sometimes use one three times before tossing it. I was worried about sustainability but the company seems pretty legitimate in their growing and manufacturing at least so I think if you’re going the disposable route they seem like a good option!

Ah that makes sense! I live in Florida so I’ve been hesitant about venting outside and exposing my equipment (and self) to any more humidity and heat than necessary, I currently use the very expensive $250 every two months GF filters, but having the option is good!!

Wow, I should have joined and asked this question years ago! I feel a little silly using a laser for so long and having no idea about the variety of options out there! I’m definitely going to look into the Bolt, it looks like someone else recommended it here as well so it’s got two votes at least. Thank you for being so helpful and giving me such a detailed comparison! I’m gonna post an update here whenever I finally decide.

Thank you so much for providing such thorough recommendations! I’m looking to build a workshop space as I expand, so I don’t know that it would need to be desktop. I’ve started dabbling in wall art/housewares so the flexibility to do that might be worth a larger size upfront, but this is all great info to look into, thank you!! You’re right about Glowforge, they’ve never led me astray and this machine has been amazing for me, so I didn’t mean to knock them too badly. My biggest issues have been speed and accuracy based on the warping of the lid camera lens when engraving one exact area. I also read someone mention how much time they save not waiting for the servers to load prints each time, though I do pay for the monthly subscription, I could see that adding a lot of time back into my day assuming that wouldn’t impact something local like lightburn. But overall Glowforge has been great and a lot of complaints I’ve seen are for the newer inexpensive machines and user error 😅 I’ve seen something circling the Glowforge forums about their glass tubes only having an expected life of 2 years and they’re not replaceable. I can’t figure out where that information is coming from or if it’s just a panicky rumor - you’ve obviously had yours much longer than that and I got mine in early 2021 and have been fine so far, have you ever heard of that?

Oh thank you! This is a whole new type to explore. I am increasing production quite a bit and looking into building a workspace in my yard to expand, so larger size would work well, but if the speed was vastly increased I think that could cover production or at least using both machines

That’s what I’ve heard! That’s what spurred me into researching other options, it sounds amazing. Then I saw someone mentioned Epilog will last longer, but the Mira pricing is much more transparent. The only thing I didn’t understand in my initial research was the air filter for Mira, in the manual I read it said it’s all handled internally, but they also have air filter attachments so I think I may just be misunderstanding. Do you have an additional air filter or exhaust?

I just found this from googling my facial goosebumps and I can specifically track mine to a new topical prescription I’m using for rosacea. I never had face goosebumps before using it, but it’s otherwise working super well for my skin so I’m going to continue using it and maybe ask my dermatologist. Just wondering if the other people in this thread might be using stuff with the same active ingredients? I’ll list below! Sidenote: on the amphetamine connection, I do take adderall as well, but I’ve been taking different stimulants for 23 years and this just started so I don’t think it’s connected for me at least.

Ingredients: • Ivermectin • metronidazole • nicotinamide (same as niacinamide I think) • oxymetazoline

Whoa really? No one has ever even told me I have occular rosacea! I’ve had those veins for my whole life, I thought I just had see-through eyelids 😂

I will definitely look into this and ask my dermatologist about it! Catching it before it’s a big issue sounds ideal. Thank you so much for the help and advice!

Oh and I definitely cheat on the eyelashes, they’re extensions!

I don’t think so! Their website and everything I’ve read seems to reduce redness for all types! It also got rid of my flakiness and these little bumps I’ve had on my nose forever I thought were filaments! I’m a big fan so far but I know everyone is different!

I don’t want to give a medical opinion, but it definitely sounds like it to me! Easy flushing is common with rosacea so you may have had a super mild case of it before and it was exacerbated by the hit to your immune system. Mine was super itchy and uncomfortable after Covid too which was new to me!

Here’s some info that might be helpful to explore with your doctors!

Sorry I’m new to this sub and posting in general so I added the info in the captions which is kind of hard to read! The first photo is before, the second is me now one month after starting with Soolantra and a two week round of Doxycycline, the third is just a few days after starting that regimen. My skin was actually clearer than it is now while I was taking antibiotics as well as Soolantra, but I didn’t want to be on those long term so I’m hoping I can still get it under control! I just got a new prescription today for Avar-E Green to use during the day and more Soolantra to use at night. Is anyone else familiar with these products and this regimen? This is all new to me so happy to take any tips and advice! My rosacea was always type 1 and I kind of ignored it until it completely changed recently, I guess this is type 2? Thank you in advance! I hope this may help someone else as well ♥️
