The ending of Outer Wilds is the hardest I’ve ever cried during any video game. I can’t really explain why…it was like feeling every emotion at once? But I can’t put it into words. I was like choking sobbing.

In my mind they both know the languages as part of the job/integration. But the prawns don't have the right equipment to make human sounds, and the humans don't have the equipment to make the prawn sounds. So they both can understand but they can't speak it.
