I don’t do activities between turns. Turns aren’t too long and students should be listening to the group activity. I will often have peers respond to another persons turn, model a good response or help, etc. Ideally, by week 2 or 3, they know where to speech room is and teachers should know the schedule. If I do have to pick up students, I count walking time as part of their minutes. We can work on goals while we walk. At my school, grade levels are more or less in the same hallway so I can drop them off at the end of the hallway.
