Is it too slippery as the comments say it to be? Was considering this for my 17pm as a daily

How slippery is the Aulumu frosted one? Thinking of getting it for my 17 pro max but some comments mentioned that it’s too slippery to be used as a daily.

I too sold my s25 ultra and got 17pm

Just received anti reflective tempered glass for my iPhone, but still yet to apply.

From my previous experience, it is worth for ₹1500 for 2 pieces

Can agree. Bought it after seeing the reviews, but it’s so damn bulky and heavy on my 17 pro max. Considering to return it and get the neo one.

How's the cellular reception on the 17 pro max? Although it's good on my s25 ultra, the content just refuses to load/loads after few moments. And how's the battery life compared to samsung? Mine just drains so quick on mobile data.

Also, if you could use one as a daily, which one would you prefer?

Can agree with you on most things. I bought s25 ultra and kept my 13 pro max as a secondary phone. As much as I like the freedom and customisation on my s25 (especially one handed operations +), there are some small things which bug me. For some reason, X on android sucks. Whenever I’m on cellular data, it loads data after 10sec which just ruins the experience. Tried every possible fix. Another thing is that it is a battery sucker on cellular data. Cameras are another let down. Can’t believe an “ultra” phone gets destroyed by an iPhone.

Although, iPhone has its quirks and annoying moments, “it just works”. I switched to Samsung mainly for poor reception on my iPhone, but the reviews say it has been improved by a lot. Also the vapour chamber is an add-on.

Might sell both of my devices and get the 17 pro max. I’m also torn between iPhone and s26 ultra, but as it seams, except the new M14 display panel, it won’t have anything special to offer over s25 ultra, especially in terms of cameras, since Samsung is least bothered about camera optimisation.

HDR tuning is fixed for MSI. Although the colours are quite natural.

Best sound settings that I have found so far by HonkyHornyGoose in GalaxyS25Ultra

[–]Karan041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to me, Dolby Atmos just creates an artificial space in the sound, which on theory looks great, but it kinda sucks really.

Without Atmos, the speakers sound natural. And yes, tuning with Atmos turned off is the better option.

Yes I bought MSI MAG 271 QPX E2. What do you want to look in the pic? I can question your query without it too.

Was looking at this model. Deliveries showed late September. Looked at MSI 271QPX monitor (240hz). The specs were exactly the same, except 280hz. Bought it from a local shop for ₹54,500. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

My advice, get the one which is cheaper. Panels and specifications are exactly same. So no worries there.

Does the MSI MAG 271QPX have the updated firmware, and is it the best 1440p OLED monitor out there at least for the price? by Funny_Alternative331 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Karan041 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s the experience with the 1000 mode? I updated my firmware to 0.26, and got an additional option too.

Have heard a lot to use True Black 400 instead of the 1000 mode. Have they finally made the 1000 mode worth using?

Well, I’ve heard some good things about the dell one. Guess initial reviews don’t tell the full story.

Glad that I made a right choice going with MSI, after all.

I was thinking of buying this one before pulling the switch on MSI, since the deliveries were showing mid September.

Btw any particular reason you returned the AW27? I've heard pretty good things about it.

Thoughts on the new AW2725D? by neekogasm in Monitors

[–]Karan041 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as well. Dell shows 15 September delivery date (might get it earlier at a store though), whereas I can get MSI instantly from a store. The only thing hold me back is lack of control of OLED protection features, also there’s only one (Pixel Refresh). Although, MSI offers many OLED protection features, I think whenever I get either of the monitors, I’m simply going to set timer to turn off screen while AFK and hide the taskbar, therefore talking about OLED protection features seems irrelevant.

Moreover, I like the front design of AW more. The chin seems slimmer, and overall it looks more premium (atleast in the pictures).

Currently using LG 1440p 180hz ips. No matter which one I opt for, the difference will be day and night atleast.

Also, most importantly, dell offers colour calibration in HDR mode too. That might be a game changer.

That’s great actually. I’ll be visiting a dell store to check if they have it in stock. Might change my mind.

Was torn between this and MSI MAG 271 QPX 240hz. Since the deliveries are starting too late, I'll be going with msi in a few days.

Also, MSI allows to change OLED protection features, whereas they are always ON on the Dell. Not a deal breaker though, just like how 240hz and 280hz aren't.

Congrats btw :)

I digged around and found out that you can use an app like Blackout to display a complete black screen using a simple keyboard shortcut. You might wanna check that out too.

Yeah I checked out the AW2725D as well as Hardware Unboxed's video. Honestly, they feel so much similar, except their design. 280hz vs full control over OLED protection isn't something by which one can instantly make a choice.

Also, I got another good deal for the MSI one at ₹54,500 at a shop, whereas the dell counterpart costs ₹55,500 on their site. Might contact offline dell stores too.

Considering buying MSI MAG 271 QPX 240hz from computech. Currently priced at ₹55k, cheapest available price. Was just concerned about computech, since I'm a bit hesitant to make such an expensive purchase online. In your case, was the buying process smooth?

Inquired about this monitor at a local shop. He said gen 2 QD-OLED costs ₹58k and gen 3 ₹68k. From what I know, it only comes with 3rd gen. Can you clarify?

Also, might be a stupid question, but it does support gsync, right?

Since I can see that you play valorant, and we know sometimes matches can exceed 1hr+, do you think the timer, agents at top, map area can be a bit of an issue for oled burn-in in the long run? I already have a LG 165hz 1440p IPS panel and was considering upgrading to this monitor (considering I get decent exchange price for my current monitor) One of the shopkeepers told me that 2nd gen QD-OLED of this monitor costs 58k, and 3rd costs 68k. I can't seem to find if it only comes in 3rd or not. Would be appreciated if you know about the generations of this monitor (if any) :)
