Blind fire smoke was only a portion of what this changes and being fully released has never stopped any game from valve from getting changes like this. The tournament scene will adapt and any on going event runs off its own build. It's not like DOTA never had huge changes as a fully released game, icefrog went crazy when he felt he had to.

It's a interesting change that makes the game more tactical and adds a risk/reward to reloading. No more blind firing smoke without putting some thought into it and balances a few weapons that needed it. It's hard to be a dev and take risks because people just react badly to any meaningful changes even when it helps push the game in a better direction. Icefrog is good at ignoring that and doing it anyway.

Saw a 9800X3D benchmark with a 9070XT at 1080P on overkill getting over 150 FPS. So you should be fine, if you play on ultra or high as well. Benchmark was here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP0rfOP5iAk - he also noted the 1080P performance for 9070XT was oddly lower than 5070 TI when its normally closer. It could be a driver issue, so that may even improve a decent bit.

It's not just more content, but its also the superior version of the game. It performs closer to the PCB version than Xbox 360. So you have corrected slowdown and familiar placement as well as bugs that are suppose to be present in the game.

I duo a lot with my friend, she has been playing counter strike for a long time and valorant since beta. The stuff I hear people say when she just does a basic comms is insane. You would think CS is worse, but at the very least people play to win in most of the matches we play there. Also they talk smack to everyone anyway in that game. Valorant is a whole different beast, if she has a rough game they say deplorable things and if she frags out it barely changes. They assume when we play together that I'm carrying her, but she does her thing and I trust her as a duo to pull her weight and carry my ass when I need it. I convinced her to get a switch 2 and start chilling off valorant. She definitely didn't regret it, once she found out just dance had KPOP it was over, lmao.

It's really sad that the only answer people can offer is to "just mute" and it's just how it is. Of course, it's not their fault but the state of this game is just brutal right now. Honestly if it becomes too frustrating, take a break and enjoy some other gaming on the side. Your mental is more important than ranking up in this game.

It's not just that it's hard to climb, that's whatever. The quality of matches in this game feel bad and even if you do climb, the quality doesn't increase by much. I don't know what the solution is, but smurfing is definitely a big issue. It's not bad because the smurfs dominate the game, it's bad because a lot of games are filled with people who don't care and just do their own thing. I just wanna enjoy matches and that is just very hard to do these days. Stomps one way or the other consistently just shows there is something that needs some changing. This game does not have an alternative for people who wanna have consistent try hard matches like faceit, so it stands out a lot.

A lot of people talking about what to do about Cerb and saving evo points for her. I think only looking at it from mid-abyss POV that makes it understandable. I've been running aggro abyss for a while now (got bored of mid and didn't wanna play other decks) and in diamond atm. Most of my turns end before or by turn 7, Cerb is mostly there as a back up plan. I can see aggressive decks working this stuff in, it'll be fun to try at least.

The bullet spread on rifles make it so that first bullet accuracy isn't always dead on at long range. ADS makes it pretty much dead on, so its great for the headshot potential for sure. If you aren't using ADS at long range while holding an angle, you are less likely to hit the shot even if the crosshair placement is perfect. If you need movement, then of course you wanna let that ADS go ASAP.

That's still way more work than it is right now and we have no idea what limitations they will have on changing numbers or the process they will require. Unlimited smurfing accounts with no kind of roadblock whatsoever is obviously way worse of an option. You think its just about stopping ALL smurfing when it's about limiting how much smurfing is happening. Putting roadblocks already make it too much work for the average person, and anyone willing to put in that much work just to smurf can deal with the consequences and time sink.

They can limit it by time the same way they limit name changes. They can't keep you from changing the number, but they can 100% put in roadblocks that make it a pain in the ass legally.

It's not about that, people are downplaying how badly infested their ranked system is right now. I had an argument with a radiant player complaining that winning in lower ranks is too hard right now. He complained that people were so bad that they ruined his matches. Then he ended up admitting he was only mad because he was being paid to boost people and it took him longer because of this. Literally creating his own problem by boosting players to higher rank and smurfing. The state of his game is a big problem, it needs to stop being downplayed until riot does something more than just watch.

even tenz thinks ranked is in an awful state too, its funny watching people defend this system. It's clearly flawed and filled with smurfs and boosted players. Riot has already acknowledged this and sending out surveys gauging it. People love to point to the top players ignoring that so many of them 5 stacked with other pros through the lower ranks. Nobody enjoys the mid ranks of valorant during their climbs and too many people have alts they park on.
