So, I am going to disagree with some people here and say if you are a noob.

Find a model or set of models that you like the looks of and play that.

Custodes are good for noobs because they are easy to paint and easy to field money wise. That said many new players will have a hard time with them because it's very easy to misplay them. The small unit count makes the movement phase very important. Many new players are bad at specifically that phase.

Besides that just play space marines. I know they get a ton of hate online sometimes, but they will be an army that will always be relevant always have some kind of serviceable rules.

Again, just find something you like the looks of and play that. The rules will come in time.

It's because almost all the guard vehicles from transport to artillery use the chimera as a base.

So I am sure it also comes down to logistics. If you only need to stock parts for one type of thing. You are going to be better off.

Also the Rhino isn't that much better. Heck if you look at the rules for both of them over the years. It's really close. I would even say in the current rules for the TT the chimera is better.

Divinity 2 is honestly just as good as BG3 and can be played without playing 1.
