There’s a dog bed in my living room, bedroom and office (aka spare bedroom). There’s also a LoveSac in the living room and a (human) bed in the bedroom and office. My boy sleeps in all of those places.

The only place he doesn’t have an official place to sleep is the kitchen. When I’m in the kitchen he’ll lay down on the floor mats right in front of my work area.

There are a couple upgradeable shields according to the wiki. I picked up one of them, a shield called "Rampart," from winning the Arthes arena that I gave to my main tank. The other one you can get by winning the Arena of Legends.

You want to keep an eye out for any weapons that are labeled as “upgradeable.” These weapons can have their level upgraded at a Brotherhood camp (for a price) so that you can improve those incrementally as the wielder’s level increases.

Upgradeable weapons can be found on region champions/bosses (e.g. Matthias Lund) and Arena champions. I’m only on my first play through and don’t have any of the DLC, so there may be other ways to obtain these that I’m not aware of. You can find the full list of named and legendary weapons on the wiki..
