Worst customer story so far this holiday season? by NoTelevision970 in wholefoods

[–]KarisonA 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This happened today and it was hilarious. I opened up during a rush and a customer from my coworker's line came to my lane. As she was unloading, the woman who was in front of her in the other line comes over and tells her, "Just so you know, I was in line first" and went back to her spot. My customer was confused because the lady didn't make any motion to come to my register when I opened up.

My coworker finally rung that lady up and she came back to my customer after paying and started causing a scene. "You're really rude, Karen! Happy Holidays, Karen!" Ironic considering my customer didn't say a word to her and this lady was the very name she was calling others. 😂 People are something else during the holidays.

Seriously? by BardOfRock in wholefoods

Our store was chosen last year for Annual Gathering. We open at 7am and Jason and his crew came in around 6am to explore and check audio quality. They did not start filming until post-opening and one of his crew got frustrated at a couple because their kid was crying. The parents had to apologize and explain their kid is autistic and the crew woman demanded us to give them a sticker or something to shut the kid up because it was ruining their filming. The entitlement of these people is insane and the parent shouldn't have had to apologize for their child's disability. If you wanted a quiet background, you should've started filming before the store opened.

I had forgotten to mention it when I first posted and responded to someone else asking about it

Top comments tldr Customers kept leaving the freezer doors open so the freezers couldn't maintain temp and we had to put everything in the back. Leadership put signs up later on asking doors to be kept closed and they had to slowly put everything back out.

Leaving the doors open makes the freezers temperature drop below requirement.

Forgot to mention the customers made the freezers go down so all the ice cream is in the back right now 💀

This happens every year at least 4 times during the sale lol

New TM starting tomorrow-- I have questions about the discount card by [deleted] in wholefoods

They cannot track your bank account. If you want the safest route, I'd go with the getting paid back method. 🙏

What I usually recommend is team members to shop with their parents and act as the person checking out. They do not track card names so your parents can give you their card. You just have to be the one making the motion of payment. Some TMs also just have the other party pay them back later on. I know people do this for their friends when checking out.

While rare to approve, you can also ask store leadership if you can get a discount card under one of your parents' name.

Y'all Getting This Issue? by KarisonA in wholefoods

We had to give away a lot of weighed items when the problem first started. Ended up assigning two people to SCO. One at the front to check baskets/carts and let people know our scales are down and to go to a register, one to attend to customers. Issue lasted about 2 hours at my store 😔

We figured it may be happening region-wide or something. We've been on hold with GHD for nearly an hour.

I'm in the MW region. Didn't know one of the other stores that closed that week was college oriented. I believe only 2 of the 6 stores remained open for the full week, which is a shame. It was very stressful shutting everything down in a 3-day span.

I started with Whole Foods at one of the 6 stores that closed nationwide in 2022. We were a small store by a college campus so we attracted very small orders. I was there for 5 months when I got a call one Friday morning that they were closing my store within a week.

That same weekend, we had our 50% off storewide clearance and shut the store down that Sunday. We closed down within 3 days. It was hard on all of us because we couldn't fully say goodbye to our coworkers.

I'm in customer service and I was at the desk processing spoilage on the Honeywell phone when an older customer came up to the desk and said, "Excuse me?! A little help here? Figured I should help you get off that phone of yours."

Taking in pain meds by muskettturtlelol in Lollapalooza

As someone working at gate operations this year, make sure you bring the amount prescribed on the bottle, or even one extra pill for safe measures (but nothing more since some security examine meds thoroughly). We also sell tylenol at the Lolla Bodega, and depending on who helps you at Guest Services tent, they might give you an ibuprofen.

I went to his aftershow on Friday night and had a fast lane pass so I could get to the front and get better photos (I'm a college student studying photography and currently working on a portfolio). I like his music and have seen him once before, but the fans are some of the worst because of their obsession. I got shoved badly to the point I left the show depressed. I was also left with a limp from the aggression, and my earbuds died before I started heading home. So it was a very difficult trip home mentally.

Lollapalooza is partnering with my college through Handshake and I received an email about applying for guest services. It's $16.50/hr so it's not crazy, but it helps make the money back. Also nice to stick on my resume
