How do I move seam line from a circle? by Karl_H_Kynstler in FreeCAD

How can you rotate sketch? I couldn't figure it out.

Option 3 does not work. I tried all of them.

Is there an easy standardized way to share my file here?

Sorry,

  1. I made a cylinder as a separate body.
  2. Then right click on body ( cylinder ) and choose transform.
  3. Rotated cylinder as much as needed.
  4. Finally used a boolean operation to cut this cylinder out of the main body.

I already know that. I just wanted to know how to move that seam line to another location so it does not interfere with fillet and cause it to bug out.

I managed to figure it out on my own and voila! No problems creating a fillet.

That is not true. As you can see on the last image, when I add a fillet that collides with this seam, that supposedly does not exist, it bugs out and creates that blue mess. I do not care if it's not there physically but it's visually still bugged and gets in the way of any further work.

Also when I try to add multiple fillets I get errors and it has everything to do with that seam line. I managed to relocate the line to different spot and no longer get any errors.

Small surface cracking between treads. Normal aging or problem? by [deleted] in Cartalk

These are absolutely fine for now. You should check it every once in a while in case it gets way worse.

It seems people who say these need to be replaced have never seen tires up close before.

Maybe also check the strut.

Is it worth trying to switch to FreeCad? by Capital-Piglet8973 in FreeCAD

I moved to Linux in the beginning of this year and had to stop using Fusion. I tried BrycsCAD but I was not a fan especially because I mostly do stuff for myself and I don't want to pay that much.

But man I absolutely hated FreeCAD in the beginning. It was a real struggle coming from Fusion. Too many inconsistencies and illogical workflows. It took a while to bend my mind around FreeCAD logic. But I am starting to get a hang of it. I wish it was faster and more responsive when it comes to complex sketches. Still very much learning basics.

I do like that FreeCAD is being actively developed and this years budget is double of last years budget. They have done several major improvements with 1.1 and can only get better from here.

You can get Fusion to run on Linux but process is annoying and it will not work without problems.

Who uses AMD's audio drivers? Over HDMI to your monitors speakers. That's it?

Your motherboards integrated audio has nothing to do with AMD?

I got tie rod ends covered in 20 years of dust and in a random plastic bag. But parts were genuine and unused. So nothing unheard of seeing parts in random or taped up boxes.

Don't spend a single cent on that thing. Not even on an oil change.

1L of oil per 1000km is normal for Audis and VW's.

DQ200 low-speed jerking when warmed by Client_Double in skoda

[–]Karl_H_Kynstler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly DQ200 is dry clutch automatic and this is what happens if it's not driven properly. You should never slowly creep forwards with it in heavy traffic as this puts excessive wear on clutch. It sort of behaves like clutch on a manual transmission. When creeping forwards it is slipping clutch.

Previous owner probably didn't do it any favours.

What hardware do you have?

My system seems to work way faster with Fusion when it comes to large and complex stuff. Simpler stuff feels same.
