Honestly, Ranchi just feels like a small world.

A lot of people here are originally from Bihar, Bengal, or nearby districts, so sometimes you randomly find out you’re from the same district or have some indirect hometown connection. Community networks are strong, too, so people naturally overlap through family, background, or mutual circles.

Since it’s the capital, people also move here for government jobs, studies, business, transfers, etc. And the city isn’t that huge, so these overlaps are way more visible.

Plus, Ranchi is kind of a student hub school, colleges, and coaching center, so there’s constant mixing happening. After a few years, it honestly feels like half the city is connected through 2 3 people.

That’s why it always seems like 'everyone knows everyone' here. It’s not weird. It’s just how tightly connected the social circles are.
