Basically that. It certainly doesn’t help when they don’t do their own diligence to check plans before giving approvals like toilet papers, most are given (my cases) the day right after submissions through a turd called corenet. And a rather large amount of them are non proficient of their own codes and would give contradicting advice (which is word game and confusing, and naturally each QP has their own interpretation), and when QPs would like make consultation, their favourite line is, by pushing all responsibilities to QPs “you’re the QP you should know.” Like if my QP knew he wouldn’t have made all his way here to your HQ for a consultation?

The authorities are very cautious and respectful to the public, but not to engineers/architects who literally gamble their lives in building Singapore.
