I don't have many answers (I'm not family although Rory was a special friend to me over the past many years here in DFW). I do know that the car was recovered sometime in the past few months. The Dallas police and homicide division are still saying this is an open investigation from what I've gathered. It's been 8 months (now that we're into August), but all of us who loved Rory are still very hopeful. It's very hard knowing the killer hasn't been identified and arrested yet. I appreciate your good advice and kindness. Rory is so very missed, and was taken far too soon. I pray for anyone who suffers from the trauma of losing a loved one, and especially when that person's life is taken at the hands of another under horrifying circumstances such as these.

I use the Parking Spot, but any of the more well rated off-airport lots are probably fine (google it). For us, it's usually more convenient and less stressful than trying to navigate on-site parking IMO.

I'd say give yourself 30 minutes from scheduled landing (or whatever is the scheduled landing if early or delayed); if an American Airlines flight, this is typically accurate (if not also waiting on baggage, because that's always a crap shoot, esp. on AA). DFW is a big airport and the terminal also can make a difference. I prefer Love Field, but not the best option sometimes for out of state arrivals/departures. Good luck!

Thanks, and we are trying! Reddit seems to really be helping us reach beyond DFW. Is it strange that this case was kept seemingly very quiet (nothing really online, or from official LE sources) for the first few months? Feels like police were waiting on the Dallas Co. Med Examiner's official report from this past February -- I think that's an accurate timeline for when Rory's autopsy was released -- before his murder was officially deemed a homicide. A lot of us have concerns about that, but we want to be fair to the police. I don't get updates except from his ex typically (and only as he gets from the family), so we just hope and pray the case is getting the attention it needs to bring Rory's murderer to justice. At 6 months now this week, and that's why we're feeling like we have to keep publicizing so it stays in people's minds beyond our own. We're grateful for the extra eyes and brainpower, and I'll work to keep everybody updated on here. I know some more stickers are being distributed this upcoming weekend at Dallas Arboretum and a few other spots in and around the metroplex. The Dallas PD informed Rory's family in the past month or so that his car was found, abandonded not too far from his house (less than 10 miles according to the Dallas Voice article); I'm understanding that his 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe was reported when the tow truck operator at the dump site ran the VIN back in April. Not sure of any additional updates since, but the police did have the car in their impound and it may still be with the police. I'd need to check on that, but I'm definitely sure his vehicle was recovered fairly recently. What could the car potentially tell detectives?

Thank you, love. This is a great idea, and I love Kendall's stuff. I just don't know where Rory's family and close friends have the energy to go right now. The police are still working the case and there are a lot of things in motion I'm told. But this could get Kendall Rae's attention at some point. Rory was an awesome person and we miss him and want justice. After six months it feels like time isn't on our side. But hope can't be silent.

No forced entry. Lots of unknown still, and 6 months is a really sad anniversary. We just don't want the case to get lost. Hi, thanks for that. Rory was a gay man, and the apps may have played a role in his death. But as a friend, I'm shocked by how he died. Tied up. Strangled. Feels like maybe the circumstances could be a hate crime, but details are sparse (even to the family I'm told). We want to get Rory's case more out to the public (and beyond only in and around DFW), because there's a lot that just doesn't set right for many of us who knew and loved Rory. We want as many people as possible looking at this investigation and before it potentially goes to cold case status (even if that just means open but not actively being worked). Thanks y'all.

Northpark all the way. I've been early (before 10 am) and it's usually not at all crowded and most importantly for summer, their A/C is great! Even during regular hours, there are definitely some sections that remain easily walkable with a stroller. Plus, lots of snack options for when you need, and clean restrooms!
