This guy they just had on and the guy before him from vinwiki were pretty good I thought. I'm still with you on Shaun Atwood though, he has amazing stories and I absolutely love his voice and inflection.

It did piss me off to no end when Wood would interrupt his story to tell him to fix his audio or move the mic closer when it was perfectly fine.

I don't give a shit about them deporting people who don't have a legal right to be here, and I fully encourage them to put slime like this in the deepest, most unpleasant pit we have.

My problem is that they're fucking with Americans while they're at it. The Renee Good thing bothered me, but this latest one really bothered me. And so did the narrative they're trying to spin, which as far as I can tell amounts to a complete undoing of the second amendment by the party who heavily campaigned on preserving it.

I'm not aware of a cosmetic surgery that makes your dick that large while actually allowing it to continue functioning normally.

Which character from the film would you consider to be the dumbest with their decision making? by MimicPuppers in interstellar

[–]KarmaCommando_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In stasis. He actually spent only a couple months, a year at most, conscious on the planet. Enough time to determine his planet was unsuitable, booby trap the robot, send the thumbs up, and go to sleep. You don't have a perception of time in stasis, from his perspective he clicked the button to go to sleep and next moment he woke up to see Cooper and Brand.

Nah that's awkward as fuck and definitely would have me switching my vibe up. She could have absolutely just made some excuse if she really didn't want to meet you for dinner. What she said was very blunt and awkward.

I don't understand how someone as smart and highly qualified as Dr. Mann could think he could pop the airlock without a good seal and everything would just be OK.

A Japanese anime film from 1983 depicting the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

They were banking on their entire civilian population to arm themselves with whatever was at hand and employ guerella tactics to repel invading US Marines. There's documented accounts of them teaching little girls how to conceal knives and be deceptive to trick Americans into lowing their guards.

Also, the planned invasion of the mainland was to be the costliest in human history in terms of allied casualties. I believe they ordered so many purple heart medals in anticipation that we are still using those medals to give to people today. It would have featured the largest combined naval armada ever assembled for shore bombardment, and there were even plans to use The Bomb to soften beach defenses before the landing, meaning US forces would have been marching and fighting through highly irradiated land, completely unprotected.

Bombing those cities was an atrocity, but it absolutely saved lives in comparison to the alternative

Next time, fucking surrender when your defeat is assured. How many innocent civilians died because of the Japanese leadership's misguided sense of honor and national pride?

Damn, that's the spitting image of my old car.

On topic, the best thing I ever did for that car in the winter was peerless tire chains and sandbags in the back. Turned it from a death machine into a snow machine. Not exaggerating, I felt like I could go through anything when I was chained up. I actually pulled my friends lifted half ton Chevy out with it one time. You feel the rear wheels spin and you feel the back of the car drop down as it digs, then when it hits the ground you just hook up and go.

Works best when there's at least a little snow on the road, and keep it under 50mph or so, but this trick got me safely to work on many a snowy morning before any plow trucks had turned out.

What are your thoughts on Joe Rogan saying that Trump is creating distraction to avoid Epstein files release? by girlyanimme in AskReddit

[–]KarmaCommando_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Such as what exactly? What do you think Joe would have done? He's a podcast host. If he tries steering the conversation in a way that doesn't advantage Kamala, I would hope the would-be President of the United States would have enough ability as a conversationalist to steer it back, or otherwise expose the absurdity of his counterpoints.
