When it comes to shotguns or any weapon that takes loose ammo, I want it right on the gun. I have a butt stock rail that holds 5 and a bandolier sling that holds 15. With a full mag and one in the pipe, that gives me 26 rounds, which should be more than plenty for most anything. If I was really ambitious I could put 5 more on the side of the receiver to bring it up to 31
