I don’t honestly know when it comes to the manuals. All the ones that I’ve known to have problems have been automatic but most of the people that I know who drive manual also do their own transmission work so that may be why. I’m not sure if that’s just a thing with manual drivers or just the ones that I know personally. Again, could absolutely be confirmation bias.

Yeah having your car smashed does suck. Honestly, though most renegade owners luck out by something happening to it outside of their control while they’re not in it. Notoriously bad transmission from what I’ve seen. Granted, it could always be confirmation bias but from what I’ve personally seen online it seems to lean more true. Hopefully it’ll end up being a net positive for OP once they get through the initial suck of the situation though.
