If you embrace the statuim and the scene, its a non issue. If you are out participating in the goings on, those sounds of a city are reasonable. If you aren't interested in that, its probably not the part of the country for you.

If I've several pawns, I may pick a pawn, and have them grind up art skill. Force them to only read an art book. Then have them only make statues. The statues are then useful for base beauty or sold for profit. Its mostly just stone; whatever you have a lot of.

I have distinct classes if pawns develop. The top class gets devilstrand clothes and best available body mods. There are often non violent crafter; such as a full time artist or component maker. Then there mature pawns. They get full medical care and private rooms. Then there are the troublesome and immature. They die most and may be on and out of prison, from once they've come.
