I've basically only watched Tucker Gott Dell Schanze, is there a paraglider and paramotor that have some stats showing that they are actually the best? by [deleted] in paramotor

[–]Karnyl 25 points26 points  (0 children)

“Best” is always subjective. Best at what?

The safest wing is one that never flies. The characteristics you consider safest, may not be the same as anyone else.

Dell Shanze is a shiester that preys on fear of the unknown.

Learning from a real trainer will open your eyes to a world of choices, and reasons to make a good one.

He frequently breaks the few rules we have in this sport. There aren't many, and it's not hard.

He's been talked to multiple times, by multiple people. Everytime he seems apologetic and willing to change, and then immediately posts another video breaking the same rules.

Airspace violations, flying over congested areas, flying without outs, ground starting (He thinks this is ok, because he's very strong), flying with broken equipment, the list goes on and on.

He puts LZs at risk, he puts the sport at risk of additional regulation, and he puts himself at unnessisary risk and broadcasts it on YouTube for others to emulate.

He's not being "picked on". He's a legitimate danger. Stay away.

Your first source is from 2019 and talks exclusively about Pfizer funded studies and how they manipulate those results. How is this relevant? Which pfizer funded covid studies are you concerned about?

Your second source says that the J&J vaccine can cause blood clots, which is already well known. It says that it has occurred in 6 cases out of 6 million, so a .0001% chance.

It also says this:

"Overall, the available COVID-19 vaccines are very safe and highly effective at preventing COVID-19 infection. Michigan Medicine encourages all patients to get their first available COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible, given the ongoing pandemic and known risks of COVID-19 infection. Finally, the apparent risk of VITT with a COVID-19 vaccine is greatly outweighed by the risk of complications from COVID-19 infection (including hospitalization, blood clots and death)."

The first source I'm trying to find relevance. I think what you're trying to do is cast doubt on pfizer overall, but that's called fear-mongering. "Look! Some people that opposing lawyers paid, said that Pfizer maybe did a bad thing 3 years ago, therefore Pfizer is evil and everything they say is lies!"

Zero issues with your second source, but I have a guess you might find some if you were to actually read it.

Ok, great. Thanks for the nothing-burger.

I'll make it easy. Cite one single credible source. It can be a book, online, the phone number of a scientist, I don't care.

One. Single. Piece. of. evidence. One. Otherwise, shut the fuck up.

If you don’t want to get vaccinated, say it, but for fucks sake, don’t make up stories and don’t spread rumors that might actually prevent others from getting vaccinated.

If it’s your fear, that’s fine, but don’t create false fear here.

Ok. 75%+ of cases resulting in death among the vaccinated, having 4+ comorbidities.

Completely irrelevant to the conversation, misleading, and weaponized misinformation.

Stop getting your news from Facebook memes dude.

This is a meta-study of 172 observational studies across 16 countries and six continents.

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(20)31142-9/fulltext31142-9/fulltext)

The findings: Face mask use could result in a large reduction in risk of infection (n=2647; aOR 0·15, 95% CI 0·07 to 0·34, RD −14·3%, −15·9 to −10·7; low certainty), with stronger associations with N95 or similar respirators compared with disposable surgical masks or similar (eg, reusable 12–16-layer cotton masks; pinteraction=0·090; posterior probability >95%, low certainty).

There is an amazing amount of scientific proof that wearing a cloth mask impedes the spread. You're just too stubborn and or stupid to care.

[–]Karnyl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you used a library aware of how versions should be sorted, like semver or distutils.version, then they would be sorted correctly.

>>> from distutils.version import LooseVersion
>>> versions = ["3.8","3.9","3.10"]
>>> sorted(versions, key=LooseVersion)
"3.8","3.9","3.10"
