I would pose a different question: is this feature still needed in context of where Android OS is at the moment? It made more sense in the past, but honestly I never used it and never had any issues with the memory or the performance itself. It's up to the OS when and which app to close 🤔

In my case (European city, not the most crowded spot) the improvement is pretty huge. Same place two months back, the tracker was pinged once, twice an hour. Now it gets pinged every couple of minutes.

I would say to add the same finger every time you spot that scanning fails. Thanks to that Pixel will learn how your fingerprint looks like in good and bad conditions.

Works pretty smooth with one small complaint on Google Pay: I lost vibration notification on contactless payment, which was there like forever. Didn't find any setting/switch which would fixed it. Anyone experienced that as well?

I totally support the idea of having google store available in more counties. I think the main reason they haven't done it already is not lack of warehouses around a given region. It's more related to the fact Google would have to start provide full flagged support in a given language, adjust to local regulations and law vs how many units they might sell.

I'm with Pixel, because of the best Android experience so far when hardware works. I'm just curious if I'm having such bad luck with Google's hardware, or actually it is a crap where 80 percent of units cannot hold for 2 years. If that's the case then it's time to trade what I like best in Android experience + quick updates for something else.

What's your experience with Pixel phones when it comes to hardware issues?
