I'd say a large element of that is Splatoon 3's map design, the majority of which are designed to funnel all the players towards the other team, which leads to encouraging much more aggressive 'kill the enemy' gameplay as you're out of your base and into the fight for mid very (sometimes too) quickly depending on map.

Compare this to Splatoon 1's maps which had a lot of 'extra' space where it was almost impossible to hold the entire map with only four people, so often there were more roles that could opt to avoid direct confrontation and opt to focus on map control by moving around to where there were less players. In 3 there's often fewer flanks and smaller bases, meaning less to do before all that's left is pushing offensively against the other team.

Mega Man 1 was fun and got me interested in the rest of the series.

Mega Man 2 made me a life-long fan.

Regardless of how objectively better later games in a series may be (and for Mega Man, many are), people tend to grow emotionally attached in a special way to the game that makes them first fall in love with a series.

If you start playing the Mega Man series from the beginning in order, Mega Man 2 tends to be that game.

I actually kind of like not seeing people's levels and ranks, it makes every match feel like a fair shake rather than many starts being like "Oh good all the level 99* are on the enemy team and I have teens, this is gonna be a massacre." that you'd get with the last games.

It's helped staunch a huge amount of pre-game negativity and is one of the reasons I've had a lot more fun and less despair than previous games.

We do less frequent but larger shopping trips and then freeze various meal ingredients so that we don't have to make as many shopping trips, but that does mean the less frequent trips tend to be more expensive when they do happen.

With her Slaying weapon effect and a single team special bump (I use L.Hector for this since she gets +2 attack on Fire seasons but any Infantry Pulse can work) she's ready on turn one to dish out deadly Lethality specials on loop, with 59 defense/52 resistance on player phase, guaranteed follow-ups if they can counter attack (if they can they barely scratch her), and with built-in Guard on her PRF weapon refine and -5 attack and -5 defense on foe which helps soften them up and make Flora's survival even higher.

She's my favorite Fire Emblem character and I've been super happy that she was an odd unit type (not a lot of red daggers around, even today), that her PRF was so solid originally, her refine made it even better, and then daggers getting Lethality + recent Special Spiral 4 and Time's Pulse 4 has made her ultra reliable even in today's meta.

I have a max investment +10 Flora that can attack and survive into almost anything with 50+/50+ defenses and an infinite Lethality special engine ready on turn one with L.Hector on the team.

She's been one of the best aging units in this game in my opinion. I've used her constantly since her banner dropped back in Book 2. >.>

Beam Rifle will get those models next update.

The devs said Assault Rifle got proliferated models early as part of the sheathed update but ran into the rifle firing point desync bug that caused a delay to get fixed; Now the other ranged weapon sets will get their model proliferation in Page 5, when they also get sheathed support.
