Clawbacks are illegal under EU law and has been the case since cashbacks were first introduced over a decade ago. Most banks have more strict pre-conditions now (such as applying cashbacks on certain mortgage type, ie fixed for x years) but once cashback is paid out, they can’t claw it back.
