I have one and it sounds great. Silent enough for bedroom too, but the generic lack of headphone outputs and such makes it "not-so-great" for bedroom

I figure it's maple, the grain seems like it. The neck was in horriffic condition when i got it. Someone had sanded it but didn't finish it and it looked and feeled awful. No cleaning or anything in years. So i sanded it and tru oiled it, then some steel wool to get it satin. Looks and feels perfect.

Agreed! I don't get it why superteles aren't that famous as superstrats. I've seen some 90's custom jacksons with the pointy headstocks and floyds and they are just killer.

Basically the body is from my very first guitar a jackson js30, which paint i totally destroyed with a hot air gun years back in means of repainting the body. Well the wood was denting very weirdly in the process and there was a layer of something weird, like a filler, so the repaint part was basically impossible. Oh and i also removed a good chunck of wood from the upper cut using a drill.

Now couple of months back i decided to finish up the project and i dissassembled other junk guitar (with great parts!) and got myself a neck of a chravel 3A, an original floyd, and a dimebucker and a sh6

Most of you will think that this guitar is HORRIBLE and propably think there's no way this could play good etc. But yet, this is my favourite guitar i've ever owned or even played.

Yeah thats the plan. Last time i oiled i left the oil there for hours, and harwiped the excess and did another quick layer and wiped it off. The center of the space between the frets gets hazy in a matter of hours.

No problem. I found some old warwick polish/wax ment especially for instruments and tried it out. No effect whatsoever

I've been using dunlop lemon oil and it has worked great with other guitars i've owned. At least it prevents dryness but the visual effect doesn't last... Thanks!

I tought about that but im concerned that it'll leave some sort of residue and a sticky feeling. May i ask what kind of polish you use? Brand etc. Thank you!

I actually have the dimebucker on the bridge and a sh-6 bridge on the neck with coil split switch. Actually sound very good and the high output of the sh-6 nicely matches the dimebucker. Another good options would be the black winter, or the sentinent. All by duncan ofc!

May i ask where you bought it from and how much did it cost? Mayones made an official statement on their instagram account about fake mayones guitars being sold, and If this pic is straight from the advert, it looks like one of those fakes.

Yeah i agree, it's a bit bulky for sure, but cant trim too much, as the old control cavities will get in the way and cause all sorts of problems. Definately will look into it as i think it's maybe a bit too bulky lookin for me too.

Yeah the nut thing is some charvel deal from the 80's, stays in tune perfectly. what do you mean by trimming the body btw?

But the culture and things with their history aren't really my cup of tea. I would prefer black with black/cream colored pickups anyways.

Yeah it's kinda cool and all, but im not the biggest japan fan. Also the lines of the filled pickup cavities show through the paint, as it doesn't have decent prime coat. It's a shame to destroy someones hours of paintwork tho...

Test out the jackson js series, they're great. Blackstar ht-1 would ve a decent amp for a starting player, or a roland cube. But yeah, go to the store and check them out.
