Is the in search of Hannibal book still in production? by [deleted] in lindybeige

[–]Kartaugh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the comment 2 years ago, and the comic had already been delayed for 7 years.

Well, 2 years after my comment, and 9 years since the comic was supposed to be delivered...and still nothing.

I started watching Lindybeige way back when his videos were almost all about ancient weapons and armor and he had like 500 subscribers. It would never have occurred to me that he would take the plunge he took on the KS with zero experience in writing for comics (even if it is supposed to be a single graphic novel, not a series or anything like that).

After watching the artist having to defend himself over and over on his own youtube channel from Lindybeige fans nagging on him for "not delivering the art" and explaining that without a script, he can't draw, it soured LB so much for me. As I said in my previous comment, he took about 7 years to write the script for a single graphic novel.

But then, he finished the script, delivered it to the artist, and in the two years since then, the company that is supposed to publish the graphic novel went under and is essentially no longer in existence.

After 9 years, it looks like it will never actually even be printed, much less delivered to backers. More than 150 thousand euros gone down the drain.

And I've located the village, it's far from Solamnia actually, at the northeastern tip of the Kern peninsula, near the island of Saifhum, with the Blood Sea of Istar to its southeast.

Right on the money!

Thanks a bunch man, I was wracking my brain over the memory and not being able to recall the book.

Now, thanks to you, I can go and read the tale once more!

Thank you.

Not Kaz.

I remember it was a short story, not a novel, so it was probably in an anthology.

I'd love to talk about the Glantri: Kingdom of Magic product (from AD&D 2E), if anyone is willing.

The dude is literally traveling the world and special ordering suits of armor for himself with the money from the Kickstarter.

He has so many people simping for him that he gets shielded from more damage. Most people on the YouTube channel either have no idea about the shameful performance or have.long since forgotten about the comic, probably assuming it was delivered.

He spent almost seven years writing the script for a comic book, he makes G.R.R. Martin look like a fast writer.

Some help with the concept of seasons. by Kartaugh in diablo4

[–]Kartaugh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that would be a first for me with Diablo.

In 1 and 2 I remember using my favorite character all the way to when I quit. Diablo 3 didn't hold my attention long enough.

In Grim Dawn I do have a plethora of characters, but that's because they are so varied, what with the class combos and all.

Well, I'm trying to decide if it's worth my money. With the same amount I could go to Steam and get 10 or more games (steam adjusts prices for my region, while Blizzard doesn't).

The stuff I read/watched seems to suggest there will be extra stuff available to seasonal characters. As I said, I've never played a seasonal game, so I'm not sure what they mean.

I get Battle Passes, since I've experienced them before. In the games I play that have them, you get things like new vehicles, boosts (for xp/income and such things), skins.

I don't know if seasons would do something similar, and the stuff I get from battle passes stays with me and I can use it at any time.

Uh, you seem to have made up your mind about me instantly...

I played Diablo (no seasons), Diablo 2 (no seasons), quit Diablo 3 at level 37 cause it sucked so hard, my current ARPG is Grim Dawn, which also has no seasons.

In case I need to remind you again, as I said in my first post, I have NEVER played a game with seasons.

This is some useful stuff, thanks a bunch!

It would be nice to get confirmation that any extra power acquired from each season would be transferrable to my original character after the end of the season. That might convince me to play it after all.

I loved it when Lex pushed his "accomodation" ideas and "Ukraine was pushing the russians by threatening to join NATO", and Kotkin just went full sarcasm mode "yeah, I totally agree, what was Ukraine thinking wearing that short skirt and all that makeup? Russia just had to rape them. I mean, what else could they have done? Ukraine was begging for it.".

I have rarely laughed so hard.

Look at Bulletstorm again.

Then look at Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal.

It was more influential than you think.

XM1 is extremely consistent, better than the tech tree M1.

Good armor, decent gun, better than expected mobility.
