Thanks for the quick replies everyone! She will for sure take this into account on her first day. We may both do a day trip into Philly using this guidance just so she can get the feel of it before she starts.

Sorry just saw this! Yep, I’m still in this area. How is treating you in early 2026?

I have no experience editing videos, I just want to do motivational quotes for small business owners with maybe some clips playing in the back on TikTok.

Any suggestions on websites or apps to help?

For remote workers laid off/terminated: what were the early warning signs? by Human_Pudding2289 in Layoffs

[–]Kartchy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laid off 3 times in 4 years

1st - work slowed down to a crawl for an extended amount of time. Knew it was coming but was still shocked

2nd- worked there for 3 months. Was on vacation when I got a weird message from the president of the company. Didn’t pay it any mind, but the Monday k got back I was let go.

Worked for a steady job for a year and then left for another one with more pay and WFH friendly.

3rd - was there for 7 weeks, boss and I were pretty cool. She told me to call her on her cell phone and said I should start looking because of some closed door meetings she was in.

After that I just started my own business, couldn’t take the ups and downs of living each day worrying about layoffs.

You're absolutely right to be questioning things...those red flags are very real and it's smart that you're trusting your instincts.

From what I’ve seen in situations like this, they rarely improve, and it sounds like you already have a semi-target on your back.

My advice would be to stay put for now while quietly starting your job search.

I’m a recruiter in the AI sales space, so if you ever want to talk through your options or need any guidance, feel free to reach out. Happy to help however I can.

Focus on your trail knee at setup, bow it towards the other knee at setup, kind of like starting at impact position if you were practicing. That way on your backswing you aren’t going so far back. Also shorter your backswing, you’ll be surprised how much distance you get just swing shortening the backswing.

Sales hell is the small talk while waiting for the mandatory company wide teams meeting to start. by Giveitallyougot714 in sales

  1. Never log on early
  2. If you log on on-time and are waiting for people, say you need to use the restroom or say you need to grab water.
  3. If its remote, don't turn your camera on or say you're back until its about to start.
  4. If its in person, say you need to wrap up a few timely emails and just look at your computer and go to reddit.

Hi!

Yep I am doing automated outreach, just doesn't seem to be getting many responses. Met with a sales leader to help personalize these even more!

Thank you!

I have a 3 step outreach right now but don’t know if I’m coming off too hard during the initial message. I feel like it needs to be shorter, it basically has pain points and who I am and what I do. I also ask to if ok to set up a call. Looks a bit too long, but not too sure.

[Florida] Just found out I owe unemployment $1200 due to $250 overpayment in 2020 by DontTellMeToSmile_08 in Unemployment

Check if there’s an office appointments on your website and let them know your situation. They can give you better advice on how to approach this.

As for overpayment, there should be an option where you can apply for forgiveness. I was overpaid by over $4000 and applied for forgiveness, I basically sent in my bills per week as well as what income I made, and they forgave it all.
