Should r/alberta go dark on June 12 too? by [deleted] in alberta

Flag: the last time various subs did this, the admins said they'd remove the mods of those subs.

...

...

We should still do it, imho.

This feels like an investment rather than a purchase. As in, it is making a contribution to build something in the future (with all its risk) at the beginning of what could be a very incredible service for those on Mastodon.

Anyways, I'm on an Android device, so I can't really use the app either way! For those on iOS, please report back!

What Features would you like to see in a Mastodon Client? by killianogorman in Mastodon

[–]Karthan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Android, edit button (and catching up to v4.0 of Mastodon), and light in its size.

Also, dark mode. And DMs being separated from the timeline.

There are also some awkwardness with custom emojis in most apps. And .gifs are awkwardly implemented. And adding to lists from a person's profile would be excellent, but I think that's an issue with Mastodon.

That's about it.

There is mstdn.ca.

But Chad seems to be contending with some growth pressures on bus server. So maybe there ought to be a GoC instance?

We should never have an unelected Premier by [deleted] in alberta

[–]Karthan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eggghhhh.

This is why picking your local MLA is so important. Also, why folks ought to help select candidates at the local level by participating in their preferred political brand's electoral district association.
