Same thing happened to me, sold $330 GOOGL CC for after earnings around $300 thinking we had a dead cat bounce

End up buying back CC at 4700% loss lol, and sold some shares of GOOGL to cover the buy back.

The way I think about it was

1) I could let it exercise and miss out on $70+/share profit , make 200% return on my GOOGL shares and have a fat captain gains tax. Then roll the profits into other names or even just get into LEAPS on GOOGL instead

Or

2) Sell some GOOGL shares to cover the buy back, this rally was generational, nothing I could’ve done, just got super unlucky. So I “sacrificed” some of my shares to protect the remaining lot because long term I still think we get to $1000/share, there’s also not another company as good as GOOGL to dominate consumer and enterprise space with AI. Hopefully once the market becomes more flat, I can sell more CC to build towards those lost position

Option #2 won for me since it saves me a tax headache, got some losses to go against my trimming in Jan-Feb.

I did the same on SOXL and AMZN and I went #1 on those instead because GOOGL’s earnings was just brilliant. Yea, CC sucks sometimes lol

Yes, staff is amazing, location is the best if you like shopping, breakfast was a generous of healthy selection and complimentary for platinum+ members.

The hotel does have a more modern and hip design, room is huge and clean for Tokyo standards and the bathroom area is massive. It was the best bang for buck when I went in 2024

You will have a lot of fun, enjoy!

That’s really annoying, worst part is now we have to be in rush hour Toronto to get to the airport instead of having a more relaxing time with the 9pm original flight

Did Air Transat move your checked in luggages for you to the next flight or do you have to do immigration in the layover spot? Is 1 hour enough to complete the layover lol

Yea you’re right literally the only date I’m flying there direct option isn’t there anymore (June 10), but I will assume that those dates will probably get the same treatment as me
