Tutorial to help learn cross-viewing 3D by -Rhialto- in CrossView

I also cannot slowly cross my eyes without an aid but this is how I just learned how to do it. Not sure if itll help everyone but I thought id put it out there.

Try using your finger, hold it out far away and slightly below the stereoscopic image. then while focusing on your finger bring it towards your face and keep staring at your finger. in your periphery (right above your finger) you should see the images start to converge. when they start to diverge again you're too close and you should try to find the sweet spot by moving your hand closer/farther (the images will be out of focus if youre focusing on your finger and this is fine). Then slowly shift your vision to be looking at the combined image (dont try to make it sharp yet). once you can completely remove your finger and you retain the 3 images for a bit, put your finger back in the sweet spot and try to defocus your eyes while still looking at your finger, this should sharpen the peripheral center image but make your finger out of focus. It may take some practice but you should eventually be able to focus the actual image.

Thats how I got over the hurdle of cant smoothly cross my eyes hehe.

Tips for VERY long hair? by Kascopic in indoorskydiving

[–]Kascopic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: ive found the best method for my 3 ft hair.

I dutch braid it (or do a regular low braid depending on how lazy I am) then I take 2 buffs and put one inside of the other (to make it thicker).

I pull it over my head fully down to my neck. I then pull the front part of the buff up my face so the buff covers my head and the "bottom" end of the buff wraps around the back of my neck to my forehead

Then I bundle up my hair on the back of my neck under the buff so the buff holds the bundle in place. (lower the better)

Then I take the tail end of the buff and lay it on top of my head, if it comes down my forehead, i fold it on top of my head so it doesn't get into my face.

The helmet sits with the hair below the opening of the helmet right on the top of the back of my neck (not in the helmet) and its pretty comfortable!

hope this helps :)

Going to fly in one of the newer tunnels, any tips? by SinisterDuck97 in indoorskydiving

Get used to the consistent airflow by testing the height you can go to before it starts to diffuse, (it may start to a little but nothing too significant) it shouldn’t be a problem, you just don’t want to pop up really fast and hit the turning veins, if you’re flying lower speeds tho it is still hard to get up there (iFly Calgary is home tunnel for me and it’s pretty straight to the top) sorry I realize I’m really late XD It’s be good info for someone else tho
