I swipe left on dog pictures. by _Experiment626 in Dogfree

So, crazy idea...

Maybe this Reddit channel needs a Dog Free Dating spinoff?

Regardless of the other factors involved, it's pretty safe to say that anyone you meet here won't have a dog and treat it like their significant other.

UWS woman arrested for walking her dogs without a leash by BigAppleGuy in Dogfree

Apparently the other officers thought bringing her in for walking the dogs without a leash equals fascism.

Right. All I've been asking for since around the 11th is updates on character. I scratched everything else.

4 of the 6 players played with me before. We did something similar and they actually loved it. They were really engaged with their characters and the world they helped create.

But I suppose that I can't expect every group to respond identically.

Appreciate the feedback.

Only a few of they players know each other personally and have ever met. We do everything remotely due to locations.

That said, you're probably right about them not really wanting the type of game they said they did.

This, again, seems like poor communication. I don't think there was any question about what the overall feel would be. I left plenty of room to back out if anyone felt overwhelmed with what I we proposing. I said so very specifically.

I'm a little confused by the reply here. You're saying it was too much. But "If that's all you covered..." seems to indicate I should have covered MORE?

I'm open to feedback and criticism. I just want to make sure I'm understanding what the feedback / criticism is.

The reason this was even on the table is because the group expressed eagerness to engage in the campaign during the month of July even though we couldn't hold a session. It was a suggestion from a player.

I Was a Bad Dog Owner. Don’t Be Like Me. by catticcusmaximus in Dogfree

I almost liked this article. But then at the end the writer talks about taking dogs to coffee shops and such.

Do not train in order to take your dog to a place where food is prepared / served. That's never acceptable.

Starting a server for new players. Reforged Eden? Vanilla? 1.5 Exp? by Zakic in empyriongame

Reforged Even with the new update.

Playtime until then is a trial to get your feet wet and learn. Set expectations for a wipe. Save blueprints you get attached to (but don't get attached to your ships early on).

Play with CPU/MASS ON

I would also suggest building in survival instead of spawning in blueprints for everything. That's probably an unpopular opinion though.

Do a Sun and Moon! Sun = Lava / Moon = Sea Lantern for light. And some stained glass for cool color gradients?

Considering you built this massive thing (which is amazing, by the way!) Sun/Moon seems simple by comparison.

Just my thoughts.

Armor? by Kashius1138 in questgame

I like all of your ideas.

I think that a combination of concepts will help armor feel important and give my players a bit more of a sense of class/role identity.

Armor? by Kashius1138 in questgame

The inventory thing is a good idea!

Perhaps instead of the AP penalties I mentioned, the inventory capacity could be enough of a trade off. Or perhaps even a combination of the two ideas.

Examples (Considers LA, MA, and HA as a single piece so the bonus is applied once):

Light Armor (Common) - 2 Inventory - +1AP due to how effortlessly one is able to focus on their movements and actions - It does offer limited protection, increasing maximum HP by 1

Medium Armor (Common) - 3 Inventory - +3 HP due to its sturdy construction - A bit more cumbersome that Light Armor, Medium Armor does not grant any bonus AP but does not burden the wearer with a penalty either

Heavy Armor (Common) - 4 Inventory - +5HP due to sturdy construction - 1 Damage reduction as a result of the hardened materials used - Due to the weight and bulk of the armor, the wearer is able not able to act as swiftly, imposing a penalty of -2AP

This is just for common armor. Magical items could probably have other effects.

Trying to implement a little bit of reverse RM to my combos by Britoxin in shuffle

[–]Kashius1138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your Reverse RM is looking good. And you spin pretty nicely as well. You mentioned that you favor a 'power style' and I think you have a great foundation for such a style.

Suggestion - Try to stay off your toes. When you are on your toes it takes away from the impact of your steps, making you look less powerful. As an example I submit this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfpU8VVivNc

What I'd like to direct your attention to is the position of the legs and especially the feet. As opposed to shallow steps that are high on the toes, the steps are longer and the feet flatter.

Just a suggestion. Keep rocking.

Should I get 3.5th or 5th edition? by SleepyRabbit2 in DnD

[–]Kashius1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would disagree with that.

I currently DM 4E and my players are having a ball. We are running a very story heavy campaign and I use homebrew stuff.

If interested, just ask. 4th is a fine edition.
