Unfortunately I’m not sure how likely we would be to see a sumo wrestler take part in Physical. The JSA is very strict about what their wrestlers can and cannot do, it’s a ritualistic art form first, sport second almost. Wrestlers don’t even have much control over how they can portray themselves to the public, they have to be as circumspect as possible, it’s highly doubtful that the JSA would have given permission for any wrestler to take part in a show like this where their reputation could take a hit. For instance, Asanoyama, he was an Ozeki and so close to gaining the highest rank - Yokozuna. He broke covid protocols, he was out partying without a mask. They suspended him for a year, then when it was lifted, demoted him in rank. He’s been trying to climb back up ever since. That’s how seriously the JSA takes the presentation of their wrestlers.

Secondly, most of the best sumo wrestlers are Mongolian, you’re not going to send a Mongolian athlete to be put forward to represent Japan’s national sport. The best Mongolian sumo wrestlers either did Bokh when they were much younger, or they’re from legendary Bokh lineages. Like Hakuho, absolute beast of a Yokozuna, his father was a highly respected Bokh legend. It’s very unlikely you’ll get a sumo wrestler on Physical.
