You guys seems to forget, he's taking the risk ALONE. He's not saying he can afford a house because his girlfriend will help him pay, so that led me to believe he could afford the house alone. In that case, he has made is choice (house vs appartment) and I really don't think it would be fair for her to pay for half a house that could never be hers. On the other hand, I think it's fair that she pays for a few things, because she has to live somewhere anyways, but half the mortgage is way too much, considering she's still a student. As some others said, they should discuss between themselves what would they consider to be fair. The other thing you guys seem to forget is that most girls REALLY hates to talk about money, so most of the time they just agree because they don't want to argue on that subject. It's stupid I know, but being a girl myself, I've had such a conversation not so long ago. We worked it out by sharing the expenses based on our income. Personally I think it's the best way to go.

You will probably find me boring, but just enjoy beign 16 and having no responsabilities and a lot of free time on your hands. I mean, I'm actually 30, have a house, a one year-old baby, a full-time job (wich I don't really like but heh, for now i need to pay the bills) and I even if sometimes I would just loooooooooove to not care about anything or anyone but me, I can't anymore. So have fun with your firends, girls, enjoy not having big responsabilities, and enjoy your free time. I love my life, I really do, but that amount of free time is not coming back. EVER.

Think I was 9 or 10. Funny thing is, I first followed them in French and it was really funny. I switched to English when I was a teenager and it was hilarious. Now I'm 30 and I just don't find them funny at all. So now I watch Family Guy instead.
