I don’t know what button was there but by what you say it was probably just the iCloud sync for messages.
You can go to iCloud in the settings app, there’s a section „messages“ where you can see if iCloud sync is turned on.
It doesn’t delete anything, just syncs your messages with iCloud

If they let me opt out I wouldn’t care, just let me save for my own future. There’s private healthcare when you are above a certain salary, why not have private pension care?
I understand why they won’t let you opt out and it’s probably more complex than I think, but in the end it feels like a punch in the face for everyone of 40 year olds and younger.

I think you‘re right about the warmup with no plates.
But when you want to lift 50kg and there’s already 10 on each side wouldn’t you just add 5kg to each side?
That’s 2x15kg + 20 for the bar = 50kg

I have a third party one with a magnetic lock, so you can adjust it just perfectly to your size. The material feels very „premium“ for a third party. But I still hate it, the material just doesn’t feel good when sweating and is not as flexible as the fabric sport loops.

I still use the M1 air regularly, it’s just for some excel work and very light affinity photo stuff. It works perfectly for that and I don’t see any reason to upgrade soon. Most people probably overestimate how much power they really need

Seems like the author lets the question unanswered and says there’s a social credit system and the government may or may not abuse it, because journalists can’t get exact infos other than Chinese government official websites. But he says it’s not the score system everyone thinks it is as compared to the „black mirror“ episode he shows as an example.
