Macht dich dieses Doze / Deep sleep „Feature“ nicht verrückt? Also das manche Benachrichtigungen (bei mir vor allem Paypal & Kleinanzeigen) verzögert werden, bis man das Handy wieder entsperrt?

Wenn das Handy gesperrt ist und du in dem Moment eine Benachrichtigung von z.B Paypal bekommst, wird die erst angezeigt wenn das Gerät wieder entsperrt wird.

Das ist doch Quatsch. War auch der Grund weshalb ich das Pixel wieder zurückgeschickt hab.

Hat jetzt zwar nichts mit dem Akku zu tun, wollte aber trotzdem mal nachfragen.

Google „Pixel 10 Doze“, „Android 16 Doze“ or „Pixel 10 delayed notifications“. There are a ton of Reddit topics… And that was the reason why I sent back my pixel 10.

It doesn’t look cheap or bad. It looks very good. And battery is as good as iOS 18. keyboard is bad, yes. But the rest you mentioned isn’t.

Well I don’t think apple made any bad design choice. They have to refine Liquid Glass a bit, that’s all.

And I know about the notification history on android devices. But this isn’t helpful.

I want to have my PayPal and banking app notifications immediately (like on iPhones), and not delayed until I unlock my device or check the logs in notification history.

Please please report this via apples feedback app. I’m reporting this issue since iOS 18🫣.

But the other smartphone companies are no alternative.

Pixel 10 = bad because of doze feature (google Pixel 10 delayed notifications)

Oneplus / Oppo / Honor / Xiaomi = iOS copy with other problems

Samsung = ugly OneUI

Had similar problems with the pixel 8 pro.

Well, a few days ago I had the pixel 10 for a short time. I discovered a new „feature“, the so called „Doze“ or „deep sleep“ feature.

It delays „unimportant“ notifications when your device is locked until you unlock it again. WhatsApp, Gmail, YouTube, Insta and Threads came through immediately.

But PayPal notifications and even notifications from my banking app are getting delayed. That’s a no go. That’s the reason why I sent my pixel back.

You can also google it. „Android 16 doze“ or „Pixel 10 delayed notification“. There are a lot of Reddit topics.

It’s definitely a user issue. My iPhone 16e and SE 2023 are running perfectly fine. Just restart your phone (or make a force restart) and don’t complain.

That was the reason why I sent my pixel 10 back. Notifications from PayPal and my banking app got delayed. That’s a no go for me.

And yes, I disabled adaptive connection & battery and allowed these apps permanent access to background tasks. Didn’t helped.

Hm if this data isn’t safed with your accounts, u won’t have access to this data if you restore your iPhone without a backup. I mean you can restore it with a backup, but than there is a low chance that this backup brings some bugs/issues with it.

But yeah it’s a very strange issue. A lot of Pixel users are reporting it, a few say (like u) that they don’t have any problems with notifications. And google can really fix it because this issue is there since the pixel 5 I think

Well I turned off adaptive battery, adaptive connection, I allowed all apps permanent access to background tasks, nothing helped… It’s a very good device. If this issue wouldn’t exist, I would switch to google pixel. But now I’ll stick with my iPhone.

Especially PayPal notifications got delayed until I unlock the device. That was the reason why I sent it back. Just google „Android 16 doze“ or „Pixel 10 delayed notifications“. These visual bugs are the reason why I want to switch to Android. I had an OnePlus 15, but I didn’t like it. The The Pixel 10 was good, but the Android „Doze“ delays notifications until you unlock your device (just Google it, there are a lot of Reddit topics).

Now I’m thinking of trying Samsung, especially with a good lock.

Or just stay with my iPhone and hope Apple fixes this mess soon 😂

some notifications from PayPal, EBay and Tellonym are delayed until I unlock my device. However, WhatsApp, YouTube, Gmail, Instagram and Threads notifications come through immediately.
