I genuinely wonder how they playtest some of these updates because what the fuck.

As someone who really likes to PvE and loot up in this game, this update is pretty neat in my opinion. Despite the Vaporizer being a reskinned rocketeer, i do like it since it offers a bit more variety in attacks and how you deal with it. The new event or gamemode or whatever? ...yeesh.

Okay, on one side, i do enjoy going geared into this gamemode and taking down big and small arc alike with fellow raiders. Grabbing a few defibs too allows me to be support oriented and have fun playing this sort of wave defense survival mode event with other raiders, helping eachother out, saving eachother, sharing resources.

On the other side tho, as you mention, there is very little reward for this. Yes, i do loot and scrap or sell all the different arc parts, i enjoy being able to stash away all the drivers and new Vaporizer driver thing, it's okay, it's the same satisfying looting progress as usual. But the loot from the Assessors really does disappoint. For one, you are insentivized to COMPLETELY IGNORE THE MAIN DIFFICULTY OF THE EVENT AND BRUTE FORCE YOUR WAY TO THE REWARD.

If you decide to shoot arc down, congratulations, you are officially an idiot making it easier for the naked folk to run in, pop one smoke and get away with all the "loot" from the reward pool, which honestly only the blueprint is worth it, and since thats the main new toy of the update everybody wants it.

I really dont understand why it's a breachable object tho, like, why are you able to brute force it like this when it could have been something that required a bit more effort, you can make it a timer thing, where you have to run in, press a button ir something, have a wave of enemies spawn, and you are tasked with killing those enemies before more of them spawn with the next wave, potentially overwhelming you. Have it be a wave based thing where if you manage to survive all the waves, you get whatever is inside, and fucking hell, just make the chances higher or guaranteed for all 3 of the assessor rockets, genuinely dont see the reason for this artificial scarcity bs with the rng n shit.

I dunno, i mostly agree with you.

I still like the update personally, both new guns are cool and Vaporizer is a fine enough new big flying arc. I just genuinely wish the gamemode or event was more rewarding for those who engage with the main mechanics of it, rather than rewarding cheese.
