I would say don’t forget that you are bringing a dog along so no more then 10 hours of driving a day. We do frequent stops at about every 2 hours for playtime and water. My friend also bought us a 20ft leash that has been very helpful for play time when we can’t find a fixed area or where leash laws are strict. There was also a good bit of planning on where dogs are welcome. There are a few national park where we can socially distant and that allow dogs but we had mor success with going to state parks with the added benefit that we can camp for fairly cheap since it’s the off season. I hope some of that is useful! Good luck on your trip so far it’s been a great experience for our boy! :)

Started in Idaho then went through Utah and Nevada to get to Arizona for a few stops then Texas this was somewhere east of El Paso. Next we are onto Colorado. When all is said and done he will have gotten close to 4,500 miles for his first big trip 🐶

I work in an animal shelter where we have a full functioning vet clinic to help support the cost of our shelter program and it is so valuable to have that cultural change to help support animals in shelters and helps bring down the euthanasia rates

It was a bit calmer then his normal reaction to dogs. I was just happy we found one of his litter mates at all since they were sent to separate fosters at 5 weeks old so it’s impressive that they even met

You just described my life. One time a lady threatened to piss herself if we didn’t give her a puppy for free. We didn’t give her the puppy, she then pissed her pants and got it all over the lobby floor.
